Happy Birthday Capt. Kirk!

I read the Koko part and could not find the dilithium crystals enough to click on that article. There are just somethings I do not want to know about Capt. Kirk.

Bill Shatner was friends with some theater owners who lived across the street from me, growing up. He came to Utah to ski and would sometimes visit his friends. They knew I was a Star Trek fan so asked me to tag along one night at their theater, where Shatner was the guest of honor. I got to watch the play sitting next to him. He was very gracious to this then kid. After the play they all went out for cocktails and I had to be driven home, but it was a night I'll never forget. I also met Leonard Nimoy some years later, as well as George Takei, whom I had the pleasure of sitting next to for a screening of a Leonard Nimoy film. He was another "star" who came across as an ordinary person, very gracious and polite. I never met a person who worked on Star Trek who was anything less than a terrific human being.

Hope Shatner had a happy birthday!

CBS was responsible for both the Star Trek and Mission Impossible series so William Shatner appeared as a mobster/criminal on one of the Mission Impossible episodes.

I have always loved his acting. He is in pretty good shape for 90.
