Hiya all. After nearly one week without power, it's FINALLY back on. And I lit up like a Christmas tree. I was so tired last night that I fell asleep at my dad's kitchen table. Hope all is well with everyone.

When I joined the Aluminum plant in June of 1995 the pay was $7.50 per hour.
It was also less than a mile from the house whereas Gallatin was a good hour away.

I really needed the smile I made when I realized it was actually on. They kept on pushing back our restoration times over and over again but called in for more reinforcements today. They're swamped. I saw about a dozen or maybe more power trucks en route to town when I was leaving for work this morning.

Me too. There were three houses on my street that didn't have any while the others did. I'm going to have to start restocking the fridge and freezer when I get off from work on Friday. But I'm even happier that ice storm is behind us all.

I'm definitely going to be looking for ground turkey if I find any. I had three pounds of it in the freezer I'd just bought that was ruined. But a pot of chili that evening would be fantastic. But it'd really been great last week.
