Getting to know you....

Hello to all, I'm pleased to be here. I've had unusual experiences throughout my life, and being 64 now, I might as well start sharing them in a friendly place. Because as you know, the average person, upon hearing you relate something thats beyond the pale, will laugh at you , suggest that you are a loon, and it goes downhill from there, until you wind up keeping it to yourself, which makes for a lonely life. Until you manage to find someone like yourself, with an open mind and open eyes, at which point you realize just how lonely it's been til now.... I have so many things to share, and as time presents opportunities to relate them here, I'll do so, if I might interest anyone with said events. I like to say; I don't have to make up or embellish stories, because there is nothing stranger than reality, Nothing wilder than the truth.
Welcome aboard and I look forward to reading about your experiences.

Hi everyone, hope you’re all super awesome. I’m Tomy!

My interests in the paranormal have been with me since I was knee high to a grasshopper, and it’s nice to find a place where I can be involved with the discussion of such topics. I feel like if I try to explain my approach, theories or beliefs regarding aspects of the paranormal my post might go on for several forum pages with no obvious conclusion or conviction, so instead I’ll just say I look forward to reading and hopefully contributing!

Happy Friday!
Nice to meet you and look forward to reading your input.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and just wanted to take a moment to briefly introduce myself. My name is Lacey, I'm 37 years old and I'm a married, mother of 3 children. I live in the USA, Illinois more specifically. My kids are ages 14, 13 and 9. I work full-time remotely and have for over 9 years now.
My interest in all things paranormal began when I was a young girl and one of my first paranormal experiences that I can recall. It was the Christmas after my grandmother passed away (June 1993), I was only 9 years old and lived with my mother, aunt and grandmother so this loss was my first major one in my life. Well, on this particular night, it was around the week of Christmas, a very big holiday for my family and I recall being woken up to the sound of music. The music was coming from downstairs, my room being directly at the top of the stairs, I was the first one that went downstairs and found an old Christmas bear that was playing. The weird thing of it was, days before my mom and aunt had been working to put new batteries in the Christmas bear with no luck, brand new batteries in the toy and it still wouldn't work so they ended up taking the batteries completely out of the bear. When I went downstairs and shortly after called up to my mom and aunt to come down, they ended up opening the battery compartment and it was empty! We were all freaked out but still kinda amazed and almost convinced it was my grandma since it was nearing Christmas time and they were needing a sign that things were going to be ok. This memory always stuck in my mind .
I hope to find and read more of others' stories and have great discussions on these topics without the criticism of someone thinking "I'm crazy" or "weird" for finding this stuff interesting.
Feel free to ask any questions and I look forward to joining this forum.

Hey Lacey, lovely to meet you! I’ve only been here a few days myself, but everyone has been so welcoming. I look forward to hearing more of your tales of the unknown. I had a similar incident at my cousin’s house when I was young with a remote control car with no batteries. We heard a light thudding coming from his closet and reluctantly opened the door for this battery free car to drive off the shelf. You will find a lot of my stories end with “Oh how we ran” ... I’m glad your Christmas bear account was a heart warming one. Welcome in!

Hello all and to Debi for sure! The little bell at the top right showed a red ball with a 1 in it and I made it here to say thanks! I'll be back following all rules and regs for sure! I will ask questions in a PM before posting what I like to call "never in any news paranormal" items. Yep most are mine and all of us here have kinship in that department. Some tell their true accounts and some don't say a word in public. MK IV Cody
