How do you feel about Ghost Adventures and many of the other "prime" programs moving exclusively to Discovery +? For those of us who cannot stream, I find it to be most annoying.

I have always enjoyed watching Ghost Adventures and the other such shows. I dont always agree with what they do however it is fun tv. I hate that all the good shows are moving to pay tv chanels.

I've been trying to cut the cable for years, Discovery+ is actually going to save us a close to hundred bucks a month.

I like the Ghost Adventures show, but Zak has no idea how some of his gear even works. Same with Dakota Laden, his young Padawan. Somebody needs to educate these people, I think his own AV techs have given up on him. But Zak is a showman and really tries to entertain while he is investigating. It's still the most entertaining show of it's type, IMO. Aside from not knowing how his gear works, my biggest pet peeve is that they are too heavy on setup and interviews. Only half the show is the actual investigation, the rest is filler.

I am not a fan of any of the re-enactment shows. I do not enjoy re-enactments, since I know it's just theater. There's no emotional connection.

The Ghost Nation & Ghost Hunters shows seem to have lost their edge. They don't even seem interested in what they are doing anymore, not really even trying to collect evidence. Just going through the motions and picking up a paycheck, sadly. They had much more energy years ago.

Amy and Adam seem still interested, when on their new show.

I always thought it would be fun to do some show mash-ups. Like Chip Coffee on Storage Wars (would that be cheating?), or Zak on Halloween wars, carving a giant pumpkin. He'd probably end up needing stitches.

2 weeks ago i cut out cable and subscribed to discovery plus, netflix, disney plus, and a couple others.....best thing i ever did, once you get used to the new routine it is worth it, i now get all the same channels i watch 90% of the time for a whole lot less... cable was 150. a month and now im paying around 50. , so very much worth it. with the roku channel you get all the local programming and about 200 others, grit, laugh, metv, etc... free and then the aps you subscribe to. a smart tv merges them into a seamless menu page. very easy once you figure it out...lol... but so far very happy with the decision to quit cable.

I don't have the power to stream...which makes Discovery+ a pain since they are moving their best shows to it. Not everyone has access to high speed internet and Discovery just made it plain that those of us loyal to those shows and got them for free are now worthless to them. I have no problem with them offering a streaming service, but to make some major shows "exclusive" to that service is kind of a slap in the face to many who cannot access even if we wanted to.

honestly i dont understand the "why" yet either. there is either a master plan behind the madness or this is a sign of how the digital age is going all apps.... if you get it on roku or a smart tv, you can also sign in with your laptop or computer or phone and watch all the channels from any device.... this im afraid is the future of tv entertainment, now how cable is going to hold on or compete is yet to be seen, their will be a merger of some sorts im sure, cable will not die without a fight...lol

In retrospect perhaps I was too harsh on Zak and Dakota. They probably do intuitively understand how their equipment works, but are just not expressing it verbally as well as they could.
Both are more experienced than I when it comes to investigating, they deserve the benefit of the doubt.
