Mornin' all. I'm guessing that two inches of snow fell yesterday / this morning. It's a perfect snow, only sticking to the grass. There is juuuust enough to cover the grass, making things pretty. I can wait until first light to see it more clearly.

Okay guys I need to bring everybody into the huddle.
I need a little bit of brain power in here.
We're going to fix a bad thing in the universe.
Back in the 1970s my mom had her golf clubs stolen out of some jackasses convertible.
To this day she always laments the loss of her daisy putter. Daisy. It had a little decal of a daisy on it.
So here's the deal. I'm going to buy a putter head for about 80 bucks. I have access to a machine shop where I can shot blast cabinet blast the finish off of it.
Then I'm going to paint it in the most brilliant yellow. That's going to be spray cans with automotive paint.
Put the little decal on their of the daisy !
Install a shaft and grip of Mom's choice.

Now here's where this thing gets tricky....
Well my question was how to protect the face of the putter so it would be absolutely perfectly Square.

And I just figured out my answer.
Carry on.
Before I shot blast it I'm going to put a layer of duct tape on the face. It is going to take a very Deft hand to cut that out.

And if anybody in the engineering department of the Forum has any advice I would like that. Christie, Duke, Paul.

if the machine shop has a CNC CAD machine or laser cutter, you could ask how much it would be to cut a brand new extra shiny one from a nice chunk of steel or aluminum... may be a little high but some prices have dropped on small projects since 3-D printing has took a chunk of that business/machinery.

He gives me the run of the shop and I might not know everything that gets into the. That's why I asked
