What will you choose?

My actual 4 piece survival set would be and is, a large roll of 550 paracord, A pot, a sheath knife, and a large ferrocerium rod. the next level would be a tarp that is big enough to get under and small enough to roll up in on a cold night.

Paracord is a do-all rope, with 7 fishing lines inside that are also two sewing threads twisted together. I can make snares, tie together logs, make fishing lines, and sew wounds and hides together with a tiny jar of needles and fish hooks added to my kit.

I have a similar level of the survival kit in each of my cars, my boat, and all of my packs. The one thing that isn't on the list that I will have because I am seldom out and about without one is a gun. The woods here are pretty safe. We don't have bears, big cats, or much else that might attack a human but we do have well over a million feral hogs and they are not always friendly. In the winter they do make pretty good sausage though.

LOL, I have been involved in survival things for over 5 decades and now it doesn't matter to me anymore as far as my personal survival.

I choose to be stranded with one of you guys who knows what the heck you're doing!
Is that just because I usually have snack foods in my pockets ?
Tex, paracord is great stuff ! I always keep it in my truck with a simple tool box and my Army poncho.
