Just to add about great grandma, she drove her husband,my great grandad to gas himself to death in the oven,he was a top bloke. When I was born mum proudly showed me to her and the only remark was "I hate boys",which was kind of a lie as she would play up on her husband with the young American sailors when they docked in Sydney, lol. As a kid I always thought of her as a witch, not the Debi kind but the horrible type in Disney movies.Ironically she was found in a coma after leaving the gas cook top on unlit and lived for months in this state before passing.I do believe her soul was pure but the women it was in,well, lol.
Ironic she died similar to her husband.

A long time ago I used to manage bodybuilding gyms and health clubs. I had a little bit of celebrity back then, and threw my weight around. Some people just need to get tossed.
Exhibit A: Bully cops on cocaine and steroids.
Exhibit B: The guy that brings in his boom box and plays his satanic death metal.

A View a little bit behind the scenes. Our rep was.guys trying to get to the next level.
Football, Baseball. Powerlifting, .. Pro Wrestling,, Competitive Bodybuilding. At that time, it was The Crucible of greatness. It was a testosterone festival.
But when I would do the books, the bread and butter was middle age women . They paid the bills.
hey paint, I can relate... ran a couple dojo's in the 80's and then in the mid 90's. early on they were very competitive based, geared towards tournament competitions. quite often had the ones with something to prove come through or those who just wanted to "test" the members out...after leaving the competitive side it became a more spiritual journey and a family atmosphere. much better.
funny thing is, gyms really haven't changed much. I was at the gym a couple years ago when 2 guys started throwing weight plates at each other...sheeesh.

I had a scary Grandmother too, Oz. She once pushed my mother and her newborn baby down a flight of stairs. They survived, thank God. She hated my mother, and thought she wasn't good enough for my father.

Sometimes I think it was my own younger brother. He moved in with me in late September of last year to get away from my ex step mother. They didn't click and he just hated her. And I'd never seen him as angry or agitated as he was when he moved in. But since that time, he's calmed down. A lot.

It's a weird form of jealousy I think as with my great gran.I always pictured grandmas baking cakes, knitting and being nice, lol.

Currently, I have two additional house guests. And while they're just fine, it's the mess they leave behind that's slowly driving me insane. When they step out today, I'm planning to clean. Hopefully my brother will be here to pitch in. If not, I'll enjoy some relaxing music while I do.

Why can't they clean up behind themselves?
