As I post this, we are now officially half way through September!
I blinked and here we are.

Time has been speeding up for me. With all that's going on in the world, has the perception of time sped up or slowed down for you?

It seemed really slow in August, but now it has definitely sped up again. I am amazed that we are halfway through the month already.

On a more somber note, today is the anniversary of my mother's passing.:pensive:

Part of the reason, for me at least, that time is going so fast has to do with my isolation. Every day is exactly the same and other than seeing my kids and Grand actually a GREAT baby girl and the people at dialysis I see nobody different.

It is hard to look back and separate the days and half the time, were it not that my watch has the day and date on it I wouldn't even know what day it is. We generally don't watch network TV so we don't have even that to keep up with. At least now, if they don't aggravate me too much, We will have football to sort of watch Sunday, Monday, and Thursday.

I say sort of because I split my time posting in various places and more listening than watching anything on TV. I don't have anything that is regular and honestly I love that part of things. I don't sleep every day. I usually stay awake for 36 to 48 hours and then sleep for 8 or 10 hours and then go again. I have been this way all of my life and having to conform to other peoples idea of a "normal" day has been rough. For many years I worked at night and actually prefered that but when my daughter was born I shifted to a day job.

I love the night and used to go for long walks in the darkness. I especially liked the quiet places and most often went into the swamps and woods. There is a different world out there that few people get to experiance. I liked cemetaries too and to me they were very peaceful places. I miss my night walks now and hope that if my health will improve I can return to them. I love the stars and have got to experiance things at night that were very special to me.

Now every day is the same...
