Food....just food...

When I am not feeling well, I enjoy a poached or gently fried egg with buttered rye toast.

Right now I am trying to eat simple high protein meals that are easy on my system. I have combined three things into a simple but excellent meal. Pan broiled lightly buttered toast, a no grease fried egg (just the little bit of the butter that the toast didn't soak up) with the yoke busted and cooked and then a slice of cheese on top you stack it pop it in the microwave for just long enough to soften the cheese and have at it. This seems to be very easy on my system and right now that is the most important thing.
I just had this for breakfast, minus the cheese. I like scrambled eggs on toast.

I love cheese and it is an extra protein source. I am trying to get 50 to 60 grams of protein a day but am not there yet.

In line with the topic, How about sardines on crackers. That is a great creekside fishing lunch. I usually have some cheese and crackers too.

I love sardines....although the rest of my family gags when I eat them...lol

My wife won't stay in the room with me when I am eating sardines and makes me take the trash or at least anything with sardine smell on it out as soon as I am finished. That is mostly why I eat them on the creek bank or in my boat.

Love the ones in mustard. I also like tuna but nope...not around the guys here!

I like the old traditional ones in oil or the ones in red hot sauce. I like the ones in mustard in sandwiches though. Do you remember the ones that you opened with a key?

The keys were a pain but somehow so very much a tradition of eating them! I do recall they were also very dangerous to open at times. Start rolling that key and the sides of that lid were razor sharp.
