What do you feel dreams mean to you?

As most know here, I've been an avid dream journalist for many years. And dreams are of different sorts. Regular clear your brain waves kind, lucid, visitation, precog, the list goes on.

I like the way Paintman describes how to know one from the other. It's like the difference in film. Each has it's own kind of look and feel.

As many here already know I don’t sleep well and when I do I don’t remember my dreams very often. I have tried the dream journal but it hasn’t helped. I have had a couple dreams that were very vivid and I believe they were actually visitations from my grandmother.

I like Paintman's description too, because I remember this particular aspect of them. It's gotten so I can tell if I am dreaming, lucid dreaming, visiting alternate realities, or having spiritual contact. All of those conditions don't happen regularly but some of them stand out so clearly that can still remember them many years later. I used to be an avid dream journalist, but lately I can't remember dreams as much as I used to.

Yes, it is mind blowing. In one "dream" I was wondering around this large house with lots of rooms in it, and I noticed that people were paying little to no attention to me. Then I entered a room where a man looked up and started speaking French to me. Now, I don't speak French but recognize it when I hear it. I answered in English, saying that I didn't understand him. After a few tries I did start to understand him but can't tell whether he switched to English or I began to understand him some other way. I don't remember what he talked about, unfortunately. But the interesting thing about this house was that in each room there were people from different cultures; Asian Indian in one room, sitting around a fire pit and praying, Italians in another, and so on. Very vivid and very real, which is why I felt I was visiting and not dreaming.
