Unsure

I'm sure you can get one on Amazon, but they are pricey, maybe $100. Much cheaper to use the recorder feature on your cell phone for EVPs. Some come with them, others you have to download an app. Might consider trying that first, then decide if you want to invest in a specialized digital recorder and/or the spirit box.
Ah okay, I'll definitely give the recorder on my phone a try first then. Thanks for the help! :)

Hi Lynne!
I'm not 100% sure why I wanted one with an attachment, I've honestly never thought about why I did. I think it was just curiosity because I've never experienced anything.
I suppose I'm really just wondering if there's a better way to communicate if there is an attachment (and it's not an entirely negative spirit)?
I believe all dolls have residual energy from the previous owner and are creepy,it's why I would never let my kids have a second hand toy.I'd imagine the people selling them are scammers with no knowledge of the paranormal. It's not something that can be bought or sold, you also can't buy into being open to this.Don't try to communicate with people passed, your loved ones will contact you if need be.If you do pick something up it's more likely a negative entity bent on doing you harm.Welcome to the forum candy.

I would advise against communication because you don’t know who or what you are talking too. As far as ghost boxes, I’ve seen them used on tv but have no personal experience. Perhaps someone here can weigh in.

I have studies daemonology for over 25 years, and used a ghost box in several paranormal investigations. A ghost box is not a guarantee to get anything, but is an invaluable tool for paranormal investigation. So are laser grids, camera equipment, audio equipment and the like. Nothing is a guarantee. But to be any good at it, you have to go in as a skeptic, and leave whether you believe in the paranormal or not at the door. First you look for scientific explanations for what the person is reporting. When all that has been ruled out, and no scientific explanation holds water, only then do you consider the paranormal.

I understand your interest in haunted dolls. I have an extensive collection of not only haunted dolls but other daemonically possessed items that I keep locked away in a well built building several miles from my house. Due to my studies in daemonology and experiences with the paranormal, I have learned ways to keep them contained where they belong. Granted I don't have the ability to deal with cases such as Annabelle or Robert. They are way out of my league. But your average doll is no challenge for me. What I recommend you do, is stay away from things such as Ouija boards. That will only make your situation exponentially worse, if the entity in the doll is malevolent. You should pour a heavy ring of sea salt around it for starters and leave it within that ring. Then I would recommend you try smudging. And lastly, entities hate quick, sharp, high pitched noises. I'll see if I can get a recording of what I'm talking about and upload it.

I've used ghost boxes, but have never heard anything I considered to be intelligible communication. Conversely, the "all in" paranormal researcher I was helping, a retired USAF colonel and electrical engineer for who I have great respect, consistently heard what he thought were distinct messages.

To my mind, ghost boxes create a form of audio pareidolia as you listen between the static and radio frequency changes. I think you hear what you want to hear, even if subconsciously.

That is a very good point. Some people go in wanting to hear something, and that desire makes them hear things that aren't there. It's part of the reason that no one I've ever seen (or talked to) gave any credibility to any of those ghost hunting shows. Yeah, they can be entertaining, but they are all bull. If I was being forced to pick one to give any credit to, it would be Paranormal Collector. The only reason for that, is because John Zaffis is Ed Warren's nephew. No other reason.

I loved the Haunted Collector too. John Zaffis is the real deal. I wish the travel channel would pick up a new season on that show.

(I hope this is the right place to post about this because I'm a tad bit new haha.)
I recently purchased a haunted doll that I was told moves around & won't stay where you put it. I purchased the doll (after confirming it wasn't a negative spirit with the seller) with the mindset of "if it really isn't haunted that's okay because it's still a cute clown doll." So far I haven't had it move and I haven't had any immensely odd experiences. Because of the doll's inactivity I decided to try a ghost app that lets the spirit communicate with you via a word bank and I have gotten a lot of activity that way. Only thing is the responses I'm getting are a bit varied & seem like multiple spirits. (I have read somewhere that haunted objects that move around tend to have multiple spirits attached to them?)

The one style of response I'll get is it won't answer me & instead would say something that isn't related but it'll flare up and rapid fire attempt to answer me. For example if I were to ask "Who am I speaking to?" it would say something like "CAR" "READ" "BANK" within a minute or two. (This one has tried to answer me specifically once, when I asked if it could tell me the name of my mom's deceased dad and it did give me names, but they were all wrong.)
The second style of response I'll get is it answers me in 2-3 word sentences that are immensely specific and seem intelligent, but it's very rare to get a response from them. For example literally today I was asking questions and I asked if anything on my antique shelf had a spirit attached and it said "ALL OF THEM." (This one has also said "ASK HER" "ANSWER HIM" & "DON'T LIE" in different sessions.)

I haven't had any bad dreams or bad vibes from anything so I'm not too worried but I also haven't gotten an answer to "who I am speaking to?" or "does this doll have a spirit attached to it?" ever.
I also make sure to specify before starting a session that I either only want to speak to the spirit(s) attached to my newest doll or beings of light & love. (Not sure if that helps but I heard that doing a session without saying something akin to that is like opening your door and letting a stranger inside so..)

I'd just really like someone else's opinion on this situation. :)
Thanks!

You are right on the mechanics but the idea is they are being manipulated by spirit to communicate. I agree they are questionable in their validity.

noble phones dont have the current mechanics and any of the required sensors that ghosts are able to manipulate the only device in the word that has the ability and all the sensors that a ghost is able to manipulate and make there responses herd on a talking device is the Ovilus or the paranormal puck 2

I had a table given to a family member years ago. Somehow that table ended up in my room when we rearanged the furniture about 8 years ago. I never paid much attention to it but noticed I was having disturbing dreams. I have always tried to go to bed with no hate nor enemies on my mind as was taught to me when I was young. It ensures better sleep and dreams IMO. That said I couldnt fgure out why I was having dreams of a wolf that was hunting me. Even today it gives me the creeps just thinking about it. I asked another family member about the table and was reminded that it belonged to someone who used to have a pet wolf!!!!! Maybe I knew that all along and my subconscious was just acting up but anyway I took the table outside and placed a lot of salt on it. Then I smudged my house and gave the table a trip to the trash dump where it belonged. I was told and have always believed that our homes and our lives are our own . Any spirit that tries to upset or cohabitate isnt welcome IMO. My family members who have crossed would not scare me nor should they expect to be welcome as this is the world of the living. That doesnt mean I dont still think of them and dream of them but thats about it. Just my experiences, fwiw.
