Everything is okay.....

Thank you to all that responded to my post. I was super busy today and haven't had time to respond.

I'm home now and will start explaining a bit more and also answering your questions.

Just want to say that...it's so refreshing to read your responses. Wasn't sure how my story was going to be received.

Hang tight. I'll be back shortly.

Headgasket...
I can't stop rereading your account. I feel peaceful and jubilant envisioning it. What is your sense of the beings? Did they feel fairy-like? Have you tried to reconnect to them, specifically to the robbed figure or to the land you saw in the mist or to your sense when the mist twirled around your finger? Does any of it feel "like" something you have seen or read about in this life? Did you ever have a moment of "this reminds me of when that happened when i was a kid"What would your best guess be?

Ugh!!!! I haven't figured out how to respond correctly. I screwed up the last one.

So....

My take on what my brother and I saw is this....

To Lynne...yes, I believe it was a connection to another realm, dimension, or door to something, or rather somewhere we all end up going to after our experiences in this physical existence.

Oz...interesting question about a possible illness and subsequent healing. Can't rule that one out. Thanks for the new perspective I never thought about. Going to give it some thought.

jadamz...yes, I have tried to reconnect with 'them' occasionally over the years, but without luck in the same sense or experience. There have been a number of instances that reminded me of what we saw.

When I was 16/17 years old I spent a summer playing with the Ouija board with some friends and it really reinforced the experience I had with my brother. Crazy, insane stories...but super cool.

That, and two books I came across that also solidified my beliefs.

Well, let me clarify. I don't firmly believe in anything. I have my ideas. Won't know completely until I die.

The two books are, Messages From Michael, and, More Messages From Michael. Have you ever heard of them?

Let me know if you haven't and I can elaborate.

Here is my take on what my brother and I saw (with some additional experiences that influenced my inclination over the years)...

We live, we experience all of life, we die...and it's all okay. Dying sucks, but death doesn't.

The good, the bad, the exhilarating, the mundane, the indifferent, love, hate, joy, anger, success, failure, and on, and on.

We download our experiences when we die and then set out to live another life, over and over, until our entities or souls have learned enough.

Then, we progress to another realm; one outside and separate from our time here on Earth. And there, we will continue our journey.

Wow! I just re-read what I wrote and it sounds cooky. My apologies. I think I will leave it at that for now. I don't want to come off sounding like I have the answers.

Would love to hear more from you. I will look up your posts. Glad I found this site.

Take care.

Regarding the robbed figure....

I kind of think that it was a representation of a figure we (my brother and I) were supposed to feel comfortable with. Perhaps, all the people we saw were in those forms because it was familiar and easier to comprehend at our age?

Ever see the movie Contact, with Jodie Foster?

She goes through a wormhole of sorts and ends up meeting an alien that takes on the semblance of Jodie Foster's father because, as the alien explains, it's the form that Jodie would feel comfortable with.

Maybe it's somewhat similar?

The reason I don't think it was Jesus is because I reject all religions due to their dogma and misogynistic rules, and or teachings. The Bible, the Koran, and the Torah seem to have too many holes with their stories.

Going to get off my soapbox now.

Headgasket, with enough questions and sharing, Jadamz is a person who might help you get some perspective on your mystical experience. Good luck.

I will look up your posts.

Get ready for some wonderful long reads. Get ready for some rabbit holes - some containing things other than rabbits.

I’m enjoying your thread too HG - welcome to the PNF. This week is my two year anniversary as a member. I’m continuously impressed by the level of sharing by other members and staff and by the ability of so many here to help extract and extrapolate on our broad experiences.

Most of my experiences relate to psychic connections with the living - telepathy and empathy - and premonitions, prophetic dreams, and deja vu. Not much personal exposure (yet) to other realms.

Look forward to reading your further musing on your experiences. Welcome again.

I agree with pretty well everything you said,so sounds like good insight to me on this,or as good as any other ideas.Only thing I don't like is Ouija boards but most have had a go at these as teenagers.I don't think anyone has all the answers while here, but it's a great feeling when you believe your on the right track.

Well stated Oz. Most seem to agree there is consciousness after death regardless of beliefs. It’s fun to explore the ideas of what it will be like.

I think it's more of a knowing than a hope,it makes you wonder if we have been around before and know the cycle.
