A lot if not almost all death seems to be be in October. I dont know if there is a y relevance but my birthday is October 5th. I hope someone can answer this. Justba fluke? A meaning? Every October causes great anxiety for me. Please no rude comments.

I don't think there's a meaning to it or anything for you to stress about, things happen in cycles, there is usually a pattern to everything that happens and history and ppl do repeat.....when looked at deeply enough you will see these patterns in everyday life and in every walk of life, no one is as unique as most believe, we are all alike and these patterns and cycles can be seen if you notice them....did you know that most heart attacks happen during the winter, and also usually in the morning on a Monday???...these are the patterns that form, its just life, nothing to fear or worry about....if you want to post this in the " my experiences" thread it will stay longer and give more ppl the chance to respond also, or a mod will move if there for you if you like, I don't have those powers but someone will be along soon that can help......oh yeah, welcome to the forum, look around and join in wherever you like.

I have a similar situation with Feb....lost my Mom, my brother, my grandfather, and my best friend in that month over the years. Another friend found out he had stage four cancer in Feb as well, and he died in April. I will admit I think about it when Feb rolls around, but I don't dwell on it or let it get to me. I see it as a series of unrelated events, coincidence.

I don't believe that certain months or dates are more prone to death or negative things happening. It's when we start looking for patterns (even unconsciously) that we see them more and more. If for example you believe that Friday the 13th is evil, you might notice things in the news more and start to believe that it's because of the date. October is no different. I'm also an October baby and I've never noticed anything ominous about this month. Try not to see this month as a curse, but rather a blessing! You were born in October, celebrate it!

Hi, and welcome. I went ahead and merged your two threads to capture comments on both.

As Paul said, sometimes a pattern simply develops. October is also a month I have lost much and many, but looking over a lifetime, there are other months that have now caught up with it. Don't face it with fear as living in fear does nothing but drain you and draw negativity towards you. Celebrate the lives of those who have crossed over, as we honor them in this month, and focus on those around you now.

Hi Jess, welcome aboard. I would take all of the above responses to the bank.
I held a similar question regarding how some friends & relatives would hang on through the holidays and die after New Year's.
One of the fun things is my job as a commercial painting contractor. I get to see what the whole world does for a living:).
I was fortunate enough to paint many churches, mostly Catholic, but a lot of Mainline Protestant. And your question was one of the many that I also asked because the opportunity presented itself:D

Obviously we had to work around funerals. But from what I saw and these church leaders have told me, the number of funerals is distributed equally amongst the months.

Jess, October may signify a season for prayer and remembrance for you. That could be a good thing because it focuses the mind on what is very important.

The answer/ answer is you picked the wrong lottery ticket. For what it's worth their is traditionally a day that I stay home.

This series of posts got me thinking whether people take note of a particular month/season where good things happen or if we tend to take the positive for granted and focus too much on the negative?

I think you are correct on the focus. Although there are sometimes periods of time in each person's life where we feel overwhelmed and hit from all sides, these pass and we forget to look at the good things that come along to fill our days once that storm passes.
