I'm the one who doesn't typically see ghosts but something just happened...

Wands you are one of the most intelligent and physic people I’ve ever met. I bet if you just sit down and center yourself the answer to what this is will come to you.

On a side note I’d have run out of the house screaming in my pjs lol.

Your compliments are sincerely appreciated Lynne. Inputs from Oz, TD, and you have reminded me to turn inward to do some meaningful analysis. Made a list of stressors to ensure I am aware of what non-paranormal stuff is rattling around inside my head too:

Volume of complex work projects has increased several times in past few weeks.
Dealing with my bestest Good Boy nearing end of his mortal life.
Beloved coworker passed; a celebration of life next weekend.
Started intermittent fasting two weeks ago.
Hurricane Humberto targeted our hometown two weeks ago.

Doing that “inventory” analysis just reminded me too that there is another uncommon thing that I blundered my way right into this month - opening boxes of vintage art. My office is decorated in framed vintage prints. I also have many other pieces of British Colonial themed decor; most of these are reproductions but a couple are truly vintage. I have so much stuff that I still have several unopened boxes (from last move 15 years ago) sitting in my garage and in my office closest. Just this month, I’ve started sifting through some of those boxes trying to find “what brings me joy” and what does not. So there are now a few additional items which are sitting around which were undisturbed for 15 years.

Well then in that case, at least I wouldn’t be the only person being stared at ;)

And exiting in pajamas would be a luxury. I’ve already posted on the PNF about one of my few ghostly encounters which caused me to flee my condo in much less . I did have the presence of mind though to grab clothes as I raced for the front door. Being a then single male afforded me the right to leave individual articles of clothing wherever I happen to have dropped them as really no need to tidy up until semi-monthly laundry day :D.

Happy to announced that not much happened yesterday here at home. At least during the period when I was home alone with the animals.

Only daytime incident (which was not necessarily paranormal of course) was a fallen empty water bottle. It had been sitting on the kitchen counter top for quite a while. I walked into the kitchen from the opposite end of the room and as I looked at the bottle, it toppled over and fell to the floor. I paused to confirm there was no wind (no doors or windows even inside ones had opened/closed), the air conditioner compressor was not running, no animals in the room, and I didn’t get close enough to the bottle to disturb it either - I was about 10’ away when the bottle fell. Our kitchen floor is tile on concrete and the kitchen island is pretty solid. I picked the bottle up and returned it to the counter to check that it’s bottom was reasonably flat and it seemed balanced.

I did something which is generally out of character with me - I politely poked for more! I spoke aloud indicating that if there was anyone trying to get my attention - anyone who had something to communicate - that now was their best chance to do so because I was receptive. [and had an empty bladder]. I stated I was open to any visual or audible cue to their presence. Then I moved back so that my back was against the wall allowing me to see the widest view of the entire room, stilled myself, and just listened. I’d meditated in the morning and raised my shields as I told you I would do. So I said aloud that I was releasing my shield too in hopes of increasing my sensitivity. But nothing noticeable happened.

I didn’t tell my GF about what I experienced on Wednesday so as not to prejudice her.

Last night, just minutes after she came home, I was downstairs feeding the horde and she went upstairs to change clothes. When she came back downstairs she accused me of leaving the bedroom door open. But I know that before I came downstairs just a few minutes before she arrived, that door was closed. I’ll keep an eye out for any natural occurrences which might pop that door open. However I will go on record as stating that door is probably the second most “sticky” door in the whole house; it fits inside of its frame snuggly and more importantly it’s door lock is very secure. When that door is closed, it doesn’t wiggle even a little.

In case anyone is wondering, this is the same door which on Wednesday was open when I was upstairs alone, but upon returning from a quick trip downstairs was closed when I reached the upstairs landing. Please note that yesterday the door wasn’t kind of closed, it was fully shut and latched. In 15 years in this house, we have never had an experience with any of our doors being moved just by changing air pressures caused by the air conditioner compressor alone. The only time we have had doors move because of wind or air current is when we have had two or more exterior doors or windows (on the same floor) open.

Lol Wands you’re funny! I love how you describe things, too. Good detail in there that gives me little doubt that these things are happening naturally. Hopefully the activity ceases, but it doesn’t sound like it’s trying to harm you. More like get your attention, for whatever reason.

Thanks Fizz. I tend to write in the same way my brain interprets information. My brain tends to analyze everything from a combination of perspectives at the same time - purely visual, semi-technical, and whimsical all at once. Being visually oriented, I am always compelled to explain the scenery of my experiences.

The point about my bladder was included because I have a history of factually wetting my pants during some paranormal encounters. With certainty, I could not have attempted that stunt yesterday with calling out for more interaction if I had a risk of incontinence.

Debi has reminded me repeatedly not to be so closed off to certain aspects of the mystical. So this is a rare opportunity and experience for me as I don’t tend to want to chase ghosts. I’ll let the PNF Crew know if any other stuff happens.

Wands, I think you have disturbed a ghost sleeping in your boxes lol. All kidding aside, vintage means old, old means there may be a dead person attached to his fav picture :D Now to figure out which one.
When you mentioned the bottle falling, you mentioned that you were looking at it. You have moved objects before, could it have been you? You may have more than one thing going on. Perhaps your high stress has you sliding energy.

There are several good reasons that I was prepared to say this was all about me including the completely reasonable position that my own mind has me thinking at extremes Lynne, but there is a new piece of totally incidental occurrence which I will post photo of in a second.

I apologize that I cannot post further on this issue tonight but I assure you it is not to increase the dramatic effect. I really have an unrelated issue which will take me away from the PNF for rest of evening.

Zoom in on return address and I promise to explain tomorrow.

Here is some context to the photo of the envelope I posted last night. Earlier in this thread, I mentioned that throughout this month I have been trying to deal with a stash of vintage art which I've been ignoring as they sat in boxes for more than a dozen years. I also happen to have rummaged through two boxes I have containing personal papers and mementos from my childhood.

I believed that those two boxes only contained "my stuff". But apparently somehow that envelop containing copies of my paternal Grandfather and Grandmother's death certificates - along with info regarding their burial plots - was inside of one of those boxes. Seems that a few weeks back, when I left a small pile of unwanted documents from those two boxes (which I wanted to shred rather than just toss out) on the floor of my office, this envelop was unknowingly in that stack too. That is until mid-day yesterday when I carelessly kicked the stack of trash and this envelope popped out.

I wonder if the "activities" I've experienced since late last week could be related to the content of that envelop?

Since last night, I have seen what appeared to be the shadow of a person on my back porch. When I turned to look, it seemed to withdraw behind a broad pillar. I opened the door and there was no one there. And, for a second time this morning, I've also seen a small shadow close to the ground like down on all four. So I'm thinking that my doggo who died three years ago is visiting too.

So the death certificates somehow got in the box of momentous ? Maybe your grandparents didn’t want you to shred their certs or they are letting you know they’re visiting ?
