I got "spooned" by an entity!

If they get into it for financial gain I feel they are not genuine,to me its the complete opposite of what its about.Same as any passion you have, money ruins it.
I agree. I used to read books by a psychic (I won't say her name) and then she started charging ridiculous amounts of money for simple questions, so I kind of lost respect for her.

I understand your point, but then how do you feel about psychics and intuitives who charge for sessions? They use their gifts to earn a living so they charge their clients.
Getting a reading done and doing a spiritual service are two different things. If you are "employing" a psychic reader for their services, you are paying for their time and you are asking them to do a service for you of a one on one reading. You always have the option of NOT asking for that service. If someone is giving you a service, you pay for it.

I can even see giving a donation to a church for their time in coming to bless a home or deal with an unruly entity. I've done it. But that has always been an offering, not a charge, and the people I've asked to do it came with credentials.

My concern with shop owners is anyone can claim to have knowledge. If you are going to employ someone, ask for verifiable references. Who have they done this for before? Who can you verify with that they were effective? Here's a story for you. I personally know two nitwits who decided they were ghost hunters and could "clear" a house. They advertised themselves as such. They had never in their lives done anything in the paranormal. Ever. They had no clue and walked in with a book trying to fake it. They not only stirred up the place, they set something loose that took a legit intervention to settle down. Vet anyone coming in your door. Anyone can claim anything.

Yes, I agree. Much to consider here.

$95 bucks in not exactly financial gain though.

I suppose you have to eat and put fuel in the car.People are going to pay if they want something fixed and maybe they should for your time.I personally would rather deal with it myself.

People very seldom value anything that is freely given to them.

I agree with Oz mostly on this, but if a psysic is called to help people full time, they have to have a way to support themselves. Just like a church could not stay available to its parish without support. So it depends on the circumstances and what amount is charged in my opinion. I can see both sides. It all comes down to the intention of the physic I think.

I just had a psychic try to clear my house remotely. I met with her last winter and she seems to be legit. She did not charge me anything, but she did say that usually a remote clearing costs between $100 - $200. I told her I was going to send her a gift anyway and she said I should just wait to see how things feel. She is definitely a good one! Unforunately I already heard a female voice last night in bed....but maybe things will be better than they were. The psychic told me that when she tuned into my property, it was like a funhouse or carnival going on. Lots of spirits messing with people (my family). She also said they were very resistant to leave, but that when she tuned in the next day things seemed to be stable and quiet.
