A 4K remaster of the infamous footage, which is alleged to show a live Bigfoot, has been posted online.
Filmed in 1967 in Northern California, the Patterson-Gimlin film has long remained the most hotly debated and tantalizing piece of footage ever recorded in relation to the Bigfoot phenomenon.

The video, which offers a clear view of a large bipedal ape-like creature walking along the creek bed, soon became world-famous and has attracted the attention of Bigfoot enthusiasts and critics alike.

Now in a renewed bid to obtain the clearest possible version of the controversial video, YouTuber 'Bigfoot AI' has used modern software to stabilize and remaster the footage in 4K.

The lengthy upload includes several zoomed in sequences to provide as clear a view as possible of the creature walking across the frame, as well as details about how the remaster was processed.

The remastered footage itself can be viewed from around the 50-second mark.

If any footage is convincing its this one, their is something about the look in its face that doesn't look human to me and you get an uneasy feeling. Its one bit of film that skeptics don't say too much about as its hard to fault and if it is fake the people should get a makeup award imo.

Clyde Lewis posted this today with the note, "Note that this is a female."

I saw a youtube video a number of weeks ago and this film was one that had been sent to some specialists, especially digital forensics (I believe it was).

In this documentary, the specialist guy had been studying the film, including zooming in and doing various tests etc, he confirmed that this bigfoot is not only a female, but also in his opinion, it is 100 percent authentic.

This specialist I don't remember his name, he is a well well known guy in his specialist circle. So, yeah he was also staking his repuation on it

Welcome, Wolf. Thanks for the comment. I'm known to be on the fence on BF and cryptids, but I'm open to the new evidence.

The problem with things like this is there are "specialists" on both sides of the fence. In the case of this film, I have heard cinematographers, special effects artists, and zoologists make statements with great authority that contradict each other. If you haven't done so, check out the multiple part series the guys from "Astonishing Legends" podcast did on this film. Then listen to the "MonsterTalk" podcast on the same subject. I think you'll find them very enlightening.

I remember back in the early 90s Art Bell had a photographer/cinematographer (with a claimed CIA background) on his show to talk about the "Alien Autopsy" film that was all the rage at the time. The guy had several reasons why the film had to be authentic, he too staked his reputation on it. Of course it turned out to be fake, but strangely we never heard from Bell's expert again.

I don't know what to say, if its real, why haven't we captured one yet?

With modern technology you would think they could easily track down one of those bigfoots and capture it.

My redneck buddy was hunting deer on Camp Lejeune about 35 years ago. He swears he saw a bigfoot walk past him. There may be a brotherhood of Big Foots out there.

Who knows? Maybe the BigFoot is superior to us humans. Maybe the Bigfoot has leaned to avoid humans...there are plenty of places for them to hide.
