So! I have your attention! lol Remember the days of getting that special treat? Here in the States, we have Dairy Queen, which used to be a walk up, not a walk into, and you could get a dime cone, and chocolate dip for an extra nickel. But when you went for the "big spend", you could get shakes, malteds, ice cream sodas ranging from strawberry to chocolate, sundaes, and even the giant banana split! Choices were many! What is your favorite?

Still like Dairy Queen-although on the expensive side. BRAUM'S is also really tasty!
I used to struggle with my childhood choices...lol Chocolate Soda, Chocolate Malted, or Peanut Buster Parfait. Come to think of it, I still struggle with those same choices! lol

Chocolate malt with extra malt or occasionally a butterscotch malt!!!

When I was a kid we made our own ice cream at home. When the peaches were in and ripe we would make homemade peach ice cream. Lordy, it was SOOOOOO good! Generally, we made vanilla and the best part was licking the dash. It always had a slight hint of salt and was just such a rich treat on a hot summer day.

When I was a kid, I would gobble up any kind of ice cream I could get! My father would take us all to DQ for cones on hot nights, or else he would buy those little individual cups with a cardboard lid and a tiny wooden spoon for eating with. As I grew older, I liked Bing cherry ice cream, Rum raisin, Butter Pecan, and Neopolitan. Now I hardly like any brand except Talenti.

A very local flavour called Sofala Gold named after a mining town around here. Its sort of honey/caramel flavour, sounds sickly buts its really good.

Actually sounds good to me! Love both flavors so I can see them blending nicely together.

And on my grocery order landed two gallons of ice cream. I swear I don't know how that got there....;)

Butterscotch malt for me, nothing else even close.

I love a butterscotch sundae. It’s hard to find. Most places just have caramel. If you add a little fudge to it and add pecans it’s heaven. I allow myself one a year. I have the occasional cone tho.

My dad always had the butterscotch. And you're right...much harder to find these days!
