My experience with Tarot cards.

For the record, I have never, ever had a negative experience with Tarot cards. I usually light candles and invite positive energy before doing a reading, and have had some amazing information made available to me! Once, when I had gotten into a bad spell in my life; illness, living in a place that I hated, etc. I did a reading, and based upon what it told me, big changes were coming. And they did; I moved out of state, and after a long loneliness, I met my husband. Another time, when we put our house on the market, I did a reading to find out how soon we would sell. The reading I chose gave me a date, and we closed on the sale of the house, on that exact day.

And I agree with Darcy, that intent can really make a big difference, but as I have said, I never had any negative outcomes from using Tarot cards.

I stay away from anything that encourages paranormal interaction,I see enough of it anyway without tools of the trade. One day not long ago I went to see my mother and walked in on her innocently reading tarot cards(she has no insight or belief in the paranormal).Well when I was explaining to her not to do this something opened her front door and walked down the hall.We both got a sickening, bad feeling,so I sent whatever it was away and promptly burnt the cards.

I'm right there with you on this. I dabbled a little with the Tarot (someone gave me a deck) when I first moved here. I never felt much connection with them for the most part - And I never in a million years would have read my own cards...To much information. But, I stuck with them further than I should have... in my own mind. And that was in the 'before'. Anyway, eventually I put them on a shelf and didn't think much more about them.

When the smit hit the fan out here, Paranormally speaking... within 2 days those cards were ash, along with any and everything I even Suspected could be construed as 'Hi! Glad to meet ya' to this stuff. Bam. Gone. Done. I am not saying one way or another if it would have mattered - but the whole carnival of curiosity was gone from me, my Spirit and my House... and that was BEFORE it got 'really' bad.

You sound like you know what your doing with them and confident.I'm not educated on these things and it reminds me of my bro dabbling in spells and stuff and losing his way.I'm very wary now.

My use and view of the tarot cards is much like Darcy's. I've read them for about 40 years off and on and found nothing in them that is dark or negative. If that is what you are experiencing you need to look within yourself and purge these feelings or they will taint your every endeavor.

My use is sort of nontraditional. Instead of trying to read them based on another person interpretations I look at the cards and just let them tell me their story. I seem to "see" different things in the same card at different times and allow this to help me find my way to an answer to my questions.

I am not seeking some outside guidance am rather using the cards to help me better allow my own clairvoyance to function. For me, clairvoyance is always visionary. I don't get explanations I just "see" things some times before they happen and "feel" the emotions that will go with that experience. Because of this, I free my mind and some times the cards tell me a detailed story.

My only precautionary warning about this is in that I will never again read for a friend. There are things that you should only have to experience once. Losing a friend or Family member is one of those things. I never read for profit. I only will offer you some guidance and not a map to your future. The past is set in stone but the future is fluid.

I actually use several different types of tarot cards. The Traditional Rider-Waite though are my most common choice. I also read the Radiant Rider-Waite deck, A Templers Deck, a Native American Deck and a couple of others. I will just pull out a card and gaze at it often as a form of meditation and try to see all that it has to be seen in the details.

No matter what though the cards are tools and have no life or majik of their own. It is only a tool like a telescope or a microscope that allows me to better focus and "see" what is there.

PS: As Darcy has said, my way is strictly my path and not for everyone.

You'd be surprised how powerful emotional states are. I'm still amazed how fast in some states that they manifest and begin to feed off it. I actually avoid things like horror movies or besides forums like this watching anything about the paranormal because they can use mental states and what I get energetically from it to mess with me. It's a very specific feeling. Very heavy, energy drained, high alert, feeling things around me watching me closely, sometimes I'll get headaches and digestive system will start going a bit haywire. These beings exist where radio waves pass, that puts their destructive potential very high if you get in the scopes of one that wants to actually cause harm. It seems often people that get attacked through scratches and physical injury or getting very sick with severe headaches and sickness suddenly have overstepped a warning or were treading where they shouldn't have and had no business going. That or they and other like minded one's formed a colony over a location and anything else that isn't like them just gets pushed out by force. There is rouge beings out there that enjoy terrorizing the living just because it's who they are, imagine like someone on earth with such desires being released onto the world in non-physical form with even more freedom that learns how to do this and that. That's a recipe for one powerful, dangerous spirit that's going to get addicted to the power. It's more rare than what I just said but can also happen. The brain doesn't have a firewall so it's all extremely easy to get taken over by external attacks. I have a condition called EHS myself (electro hyper sensitivity) where I need to use a lower powered computer, shield my monitor, and stay away from wifi or high density areas of cell phone radiation or I can get very sick and if bad enough find myself in the hospital. i get a front row seat to this destructive potential, if some non-physical uses that to attack defending yourself is going to be extremely difficult short of locking yourself inside a thick metal box till the entity decides to just stop trying and goes away. We are even as a species edging towards energetic warfare that make bullets look like mercy compared to what can be done with technological weapons that target the neurological system. Whole different topic but just putting that out there.

Thanks for the insight, Fantasio. I read cards my self (I have a small collection actually) but my personal rules for their use is no communicating with spirits, and no fortune telling (the future is none of my business, I'd rather cross that bridge when I get there). But I almost always use them at night, except past midnight.

Typically the way I go about it is I have my question/query and when I'm asking the cards the questions, I'm not always looking for answers. More often than not I'm given images that make me look at the question in a different way so I draw my own conclusions.

Sometimes we have all the answers we need but need a hint from time to time.

I think its mainly fear and depression that brings these things to you.Skeptics will argue that its psychological, but when multiple people see the same entity?I'm talking about negative things, just one section of the paranormal.

It seems most people see the shadow people and sometimes have encounters with the notorious black eyed people that always have extremely large fangs. Some even in dreams encounter Succubi but if you read stories these seem to be just more of the same predator that's able to take many forms. I've felt enough and seen enough to where I'll just say that science doesn't understand it yet in this area. The closest you can get to actually hallucinating any of it is if you haven't slept in many days or through deliriants which I'm sure these people were not on at the time. I also don't think anyone with for example dementia that severe where it's leading to that is going to be posting on the internet never mind remembering how to use it.
