I won't use alexa but have one on my Kindle, which I turned "off" but it won't let me delete. Also Cortana on computer which I won't use but can't delete. And we have a smart TV but I don't use those features.
The TV can still hear you unless you want into "settings" and disable it.

our cable and internet is on the same line, and thens theres the phones with all the email and other stuff so even if you disable everything I think they can still "listen" in... unless you go completely pre 90's with technology....lol

Next my coffee pot is gonna ask me questions.
welllll, new fridges can tell you what you need and place the order, so that may really not be that far off......

I now order my groceries online. They have a full memory of anything I have ever bought to "make it easy to reorder". That's a great feature, UNtIL I ask myself who else knows this?

I recently had a rant on here about my medical insurance "scolding" me through my pharmacist for not being "compliant with taking medications as ordered". I had a conversation with my pharmacist that if anyone ever tried to lecture me again (since my son picked up the order and HE got told to tell ME) I'd hit them with a HIIPA violation. Too many people know what I do.

.

every time something is bought with a credit card or debit card the info, name bank address, etc is stored in the corporates system.... they know your shopping habits and needs better than you... really scary and intrusive.
