So I have been trying to decipher the things that have been scaring my child. They are only heard, have been physically seen on few occasions. One of which was in bed. There are bad ones and good ones. The bad ones have gray skin and rows of sharp teeth. Every night for about an hour, (about 3 AM) it sounds like things are banging on the outside of the house. The only thing I have found to match everything that’s been going on are Boggarts. Has anyone dealt with anything similar? Or have a link to more information on them? I’ve googled and found bits and pieces, but Harry Potter makes it hard to find the folklore.

I have no idea what a "boggart" is.....lol...(not to up to speed on the harry potter world)........but what it sounds like you are describing is possibly some sort of elemental being or something in that realm of thought.....can you describe the size or demeaner of these being a little better and maybe someone with more knowledge on this type encounter will drop in and help a little more..

Hi Sarah. I wouldn't try to tag a name on anything just yet. Many paranormal entities can take different forms and are not what they first appear to be. Have you had prior activity in the home? How old is hour child? Have you seen these entities yourself? Need a bit more info

And I'm going to move your post over to the Experiences area so you get more people with feedback on this. :)

Thank you! A boggart is sometimes described as a brownie that has been angered. Said to spoil milk, make animals lame, etc.. so long story as condensed as possible...

Activity has always been present in the home. But never anything that was super dramatic. Just shadows and occasional sightings out of the corner of our eyes. Well a week before a devastating storm, a creature rang the doorbell and scared the heck out of me. It showed up on each security camera that was pulled up. It resembled a crouching human. Eyes seemed fierce and horns or pointed ears. The lower half was unable to be fully seen. After that we all left because the storm came and returned a week later. On the interior cameras the f word can be heard being said over and over again. My child was 5 at the time and started telling me how these bad guys were coming and they live under the house and in the yard and there’s TONS. I slightly dismissed this till my Child would no longer sleep in their own room. Terrified Doesn’t begin to describe the emotion. My dogs dig like crazy in the yard all of a sudden, which may or may not be coincidence. They go through bouts of having incontinence for absolutely no reasoning (during these times they are often having their names called which is heard on camera and they are seen looking around when they hear it). My one dog chases and follows something that I can’t see and growls at it. Then a “witch - think typical Halloween” like voice is heard laughing and saying come find me on camera, my child only heard the laughter not the actual words. Tvs turn on at random. Sleep is disturbed constantly through murmurs and noises. This is just some of the things that have been going on. The videos I have don’t show too much picture wise, however there is enough for me to be able to explain that there are short (like half a foot tall) ones and then there are a few bigger ones, but never more than maybe 3 foot tall. They have noses that are sloped and pointed. Some have eyes that are slanted and look angry, while others have round eyes and a face that is less aggressive looking.

One of the means of getting rid of a troublesome Boggart is to throw a handful of flaxseed on the floor. Because the Boggart is akin to the Brownie they are compelled to pick up every grain of flax, which takes considerable time in which the Boggart gets frustrated and leaves. Another method is Hanging a horseshoe on the door of a house and leaving a pile of salt outside your bedroom are said to keep a boggart away.

great descriptions, is there any way you can download or capture still images from the security cams of these beings and post them?? that would be very interesting to see and could help in identifying just what they may be.... also, do you live in a wooded area or rural type area? can youi give a description without going into to much privacy of the area you are in, small town city rural, etc... near any grave yards or burial grounds.....and so forth.

I will see what I can grab from the footage I have! It’s pretty rural, some trees but not wooded. The land prior to the houses being built was farm landish. No graveyards, no crazy history to the area. I assumed the storm displaced some spirits, but there are so many, and they seem pretty stuck on staying and messing around with everyone. For instance, my Christmas tree was knocked over one day, lights flicker, car security systems go off without even touching The vehicle. Items are lost and then found in the spot where it has been searched for prior.

Not sure what part of the country you live in, Sarah, but this sounds like elementals, as was mentioned earlier. These pesky little beings do tend to cause a bit of havoc around them. Being rural located, it's likely that's what they are. If you have had a recent earth change event, as these seem to be earth based creatures, they literally may be all stirred up and causing you issues.

We have a member here who has had to deal with them before, and I am going to refer her to this thread when I see her here later. She may have some good ideas for you in dealing with them.
