Rather not say
A little over a month ago while going through photos of my mother for her memorial display I came across a photo that jogged my memory of an uneasy feeling I had just before that photo was taken, the photo was of my mother, sister and myself together, I was in my mid teen years, I was about 15 I think. The weather in the photo was a typical California day, 70's, clear and sunny. We were at the house of my mothers then boyfriend, he was very well off and lived in Irvine, Ca in one of those gated communities where all the houses back pouches face a small man made lake filled with fish and ducks. Now on this day we were going to lunch with the boyfriend but he was running late, so I looked at his bookshelf full of books to find one to read while we waited for him to show up. I found his paperback of "The Amityville Horror" so I took it outside on the back porch with my back to the small lake so the sun lighted the pages. About an hour into reading I was deep into the story, it was at that time I started feeling uneasy like someone was standing behind me, I looked several times but there was no one and even if there was they'd be standing waist deep in water. I continued to read and kept getting that uneasy feeling, so I adjusted my chair so I could see the lake and inside the living room through the sliding glass door. I started to read again, still with the uneasy feeling until the boyfriend showed up, we took the photo and left for lunch. I never finished the book, seen the boyfriend or been to his house again.

Interesting expierence. It would be telling if you read the book somewhere else and got no feeling of being watched. Perhaps there was something attached to the boyfriend or his place? Dos you ever see the movie?

My sincere condolences on your mom. I’m assuming since you mentioned a memorial service.

Yes on both questions
