Hello everyone! I must admit the reason why I created the account here is because I am in doubt and I need some clearance on the subject, and a bit of help! Some things happens to me in last year or so, that I cannot explain by any common sense.

So on the subject... something really small, stupid but very very fascinating: It happened to me approximately 5 times during the course of last year. I drive my car, park it, and when I return to my car, be it in 30 minutes or next morning when I go to work - my knob for AC temperature for drivers seat is totally reduced to a minimum of 7 degrees I think. Normally, I use 21 celsius and it works perfect during winter or summer, because it is set on automatic. Once I start the car, the AC starts blowing strong, cold air from within... couple of times I thought someone actually entered my car when I left it open, so they moved the knob to remind me to lock my car or something else... today it happened just an hour ago, and when I saw it again, lets say I was mildly shocked. I am not extremely superstitious, and not easily afraid, but that was something else.

Just to add on the story, my girlfriend was in hospital bed 2 weeks ago, she never wanted anyone to visit her there since she was very sick (cancer), she had a stage 4 which is 99% incurable. She never contacted me back for couple of weeks, her brother told me she could not withstand it anymore and that she went on her way towards God.

Did anyone had any experience with it, is it possible that someone from other side wants to contact me, or a guardian angel trying to warn me on something? Can someone shed some more light on this. Thank you!

Just to add, regarding the car button... the knob is VERY hard to move on mistake, it is not exactly sensitive so you can nudge it into other position. I am 100% sure something moved it, and it was always towards the lowest temperature setting.

Maybe you should invest in one of those motion activated cameras that hunters use. Yiu dont happen to have a crazy ex or anything like that right? Or anyone else with a key to your vehicle?

Welcome to the forum btw. Hope we can help you get to the bottom of this

Thank you for reply. No, I live alone and nobody has my key. The option that someone actually done that physically is out of question, for many logical reasons. Today, I went to bank, I was out of my car for like 5 minutes, and ofc they were locked. I came in, and I saw the knob turned all the way left to lowest cold setting. It was kinda scary, because I was 100% sure nobody went inside my car, especially when I could see my car from 10 meters away lol. It sounds weird, but I do have a feeling like someone is trying to tell me something, in a very simple way.

I was thinking about that camera, and next thought came to me, do I really want to know? The fact is kinda scary, a friend of me told me there are few possibilities, that actually the car I bought had an accident before, or that it is guardian angel, or just a spirit, although it is very difficult for them to move objects physically. Personally, I had a feeling it was someone that knows me and wants to tell me something, like do/dont, simple request.

Not sure I follow here. Are you saying a knob is physically moved, or the climate control system is reacting (lower temp than last time in car) as if someone had moved the knob? Are there graduation on the knob or panel that clearly shows it has been rotated, or is the thermostat just putting out colder air as if it someone has lowered the temp?

If it's just a lower temperature, you either have a bad thermostat or a climate control system that needs repair. Sounds like it might be reverting to some factory preset. If you have evidence a knob is being physically moved from one position to another, I like Charleh's suggestion to see if you can catch it on camera.

Hi Duke, the knob is physically moved, you set the desired temperature, and the rest of AC does automatically. By your own preference.

But the knob is meant to stay on place, it would be like if you put your speaker knob on lowest and the knob itself moved so you would have much higher volume even if you did not do it. No, its manual knob with no automatic composition behind it, just a simple thermostat that is connected to central AC unit. I am sure something moved it inside the car, and it is not me. And it was always set to lowest temperature possible. I drove my care for almost 30000 kms, and it never moved all by itself while I was inside!

Yes, there is a Celsius degree scale graduation show, and you can always clearly see the position of it. I tried nudging the button with my hand or finger, kinda occasionally, and it did not move an inch. It is rather impossible to move it unintentionally!

Someone had moved that knob, and it was not me! It always sets itself to lowest possible temperature, happened to me like 5 times in last year or so. Do not know the exact count.

Is the knob spring loaded, or does it have physical detents?

Simplest way to eliminate a car or system problem is to have the vehicle looked at by a qualified mechanic. If it's a new car, it can be checked with a scanner that can run a self diagnostic analysis. If the car comes back clean after being given the once over by a qualified mechanic, then someone or something is messing with you.
