Generation battle...

The best generation is usually when you were a teenager up thru the 20s, until you had children. Then most adults stopped listening so much until they catch up on sleep. Then they MAY start listening again to popular music.
I skipped Disco (Bleck!) but listened right up through the years. And no, Mokey...don't you dare throw another disco ball at me on here! :p

Well, I personally prefer the 1760's (Mozart) through the early 1910's (Chopin, Liszt, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini etc...):cool: Now that is long lasting music, LOL.
You are one classy man, Noble. :);)

I have 5,600 songs on my phone and my music interest is as chaotic as me! No way I can pick. I love so many.

I must step down :smirkcat:
Same here. As a child, I have memories of listening to music from the 20's, 30's and onward because my mother listened to an oldies station while she worked in her kitchen. As I got older, I developed an appreciation for many genres of music. But, having said that, I must say that my most fun period was the mid 70's to early 80's, because I danced disco then!
PS. I listen to disco now, and CRINGE!

I would agree. For me it was 70-80s. However the music of late is really getting nasty.

Which is it and why?
This one we are in now.

I am not like most rock fans my age, I love all music especially metal, I think when my generation says something like "Back in my day" or "it's just noise" or "Avenged 7 fold wouldn't make a pimple on Led-Zeppelins ass" They are hypocrites. The current music is something I am just learning I have heard all the old stuff many times and still listen but in order to keep it alive I tey and keep up with whats going on now in the world of rock, it has evolved from Jimi doing the national anthem to yngwie doing flight of the bumble bee.
