This baby would blow out your buddy's eardrums from several feet. There was also a pistol version, I think made by a different company.

I used to like cap guns. Once I took a bunch of powder from them and hit the little pile with a croquet mallet. I'm surprised nobody called the police after that boom

My first chemistry set, my folks were assured I could do no wrong with it. Probably true until I augmented it with every chemical I could find under the kitchen sink. Confiscated before the end of Christmas day.
