Guns, Ammo, and Gun Gear

Can't stop that, but you pray there is help in the wings for those affected. What I see is the mess down in the islands hit by this summer's hurricanes. The amount of people still affected there is scary.

Hey, I agree with prepping. One must be ready for emergency. I just know some people who seem to think it would be a bit fun to trial it for a few months. Those people don't get it.
Totally agree with you. It's going to be hell on earth. And before depopulation or synonymously they will be rounding up the "nonviolent extremist" David Cameron warned about ie peaceful protesters/activists. Looking at 1939 meets the day after tomorrow.

That has already begun in a nice quiet way, you know. Look at the internet.

What's everyone's opinion on semi auto ccw calibers? 9mm vs .40 vs .45

Looking into getting my wife a 9mm and I was thinking .40 for myself. I have a .357 magnum currently snub nose revolver.

Really a hard question without knowing your background....without getting into the what's best debate, they all have their useage....can your wife handle 9 mm .40 or .45 without limp wristing???? And can she do it single handed with either hand??? Never know when you'll need to shoot off handed... Can she clear a malfunction without even thinking about it???.... I carry a 45 because that was what I trained on years back and carried regularly for a long time....but i also have 38' s and other revolvers for certain situations...your 357 is actually the best idea for simplicity and the ability to also fire .38 for less recoil when needed...just think of all situations you can come up with before making your choice...

All valid considerations, but when asked similar questions, I simply recommend whatever the individual carrying the gun is comfortable with and can control. My daughter carried a .22 auto for a few years until she was confident enough to move up to a .380. She's fired a number of bigger caliber guns, but for the time being she's good with what she's got.

I could buy any gun I wanted, but carry a Bulgarian Makarov because I am very good with it, know it's going to go "bang" every time I pull the trigger, and is easy to work on. I have other pistols, both autos and wheel guns, but the Mak has become second nature to me.
