I haven't had any time to get into some courses plenty of free time next month.

I'm working tonight to get ready for a migration tomorrow. Because why wouldn't you schedule a large, production change for a Friday afternoon. What could possibly go wrong?

Unfortunately I can only do similar at weekends out of hours although an upgrade this coming Monday evening.

Thanks for the Register link on AI earlier. I had read it before as I spend a lot of time on that site. An excellent article that really cuts through AI hype.

Yeah, so much of what gets presented as AI is just marketing hype.

I am having trouble getting my PFY into the proper frame of mind, though. He's still nice to users.

So many wee projects I want to finish, might need to wait until retirement.

Tomorrow I get to do the presentation to my boss who's moving onto another department, why did they ask me what I'm gonna say won't be printable lol

They don't need state of the art tech social media is doing their job for them, AI is just deep data mining and training to see patterns.

But as I just posted, your paranoia isn't unwarranted, just - IMO - a little misdirected. Big data is just one more thing than can, has been, and will be abused. As WOPOR itself said:

"A strange game. The only winning move is: not to play."
