I've spent the last two weeks staying with my mum on her visit from Spain. The first week we stayed in an old building which used to be the vicarage of St. Mark 's church next door.

That's the only picture I have that's small enough to upload, as I'm still not home, so can't edit.
In any case, we had an appropriately creepy experience for Halloween. One evening, I was in the kitchen and made a jockey comment about burglars, since there was a loud sound of somebody walking around above the kitchen. Loud footsteps overhead. I didn't think anything of it, but my mum pointed out that the room above the kitchen wasn't some other guest room, but my bedroom!
I didn't quite believe it and began walking about trying to see how the two floors related. I went up the stairs to my darker room and realised that... yes, it was my bedroom. It was quite and empty. But there were more footsteps when I went back down to the kitchen there it was again. Loud footsteps clearly audible even in other rooms.
Weirdly, this still didn't register as strange to me ànd I just ignoreit until after we'd left the place, at which point I Finally asked "Wait, was that a ghost?".

I'd say a ghost going about its business, unaware of your presence. You probably accepted it as it was meant to be there, just not in this time.

It wasn't a threat so you weren't scared of it. That's good. It was a ghost. I'm sure. A friend said her house had footsteps like that in their attic. And they would hear them going on. Maybe someone that lived there before you guys. If it didn't bother you, wasn't a bad one then. That's good. Thanks for sharing.

Ben it seems there’s so many old buildings over there, it’s no doubt there’s hauntings. Im glad you didn’t let it bother your vacation with mom.
