Vivid dreamer or...

I had that butt like a man's big butt sit on the edge of that bed in that apartment. I guess that was similar to this experience. I was frozen and shivered under the sheets. I heard the door open and tthought my hubby but wasn't. Then dialing on the phone and the footsteps up the stairs. Then the sound of clothes getting taken off and the big butt sitting on the bed. Edge of me sank. I thought what will I do if he gets on top of me. I knew it was a man ghost. Something. I felt paralyzed too. Maybe that is what happened to me that night too. Thanks for that enlightenment.

Oh my goodness, that is scary! One time in my ex's house I was about to fall asleep, but had a sudden nagging feeling like I was being watched, so I opened my eyes and saw a man's head right in front of my face, just hovering there with no body. The room was only lit by the alarm clock's blue light so I couldn't see his facial features, but it was clearly right there, just a foot away from my face, staring at me. As I looked, it literally evaporated slowly, like a wisp of smoke. I looked at my ex and he was sound asleep. I always felt eerie in his house though, especially on the stairs, the landing and the second floor bedroom that was right next to the stairs. I hated being there alone by myself, even daytime. I always had terrible and gory nightmares sleeping there as well.
I have had multiple 'ghost' experiences, but they have always all felt benevolent, whatever was in his house though I would definitely classify as a demonic entity, not a spirit.

It happens between awake and light sleep. In the twilight zone as they say? I was lying in bed and felt an electrical current going through me, from feet to the top of the head. Quite strong. Next moment I feel that someone jumps in my bed right next to me. I feel the thump and push against me, as there was not much space.

I've ever only felt a physical contact like this once, before sleep when I felt someone draw a cross on the top of my head with a finger.
I feel like there is a lot going on around us that we can't see or hear because it's a different frequency, just like you can't see the ultraviolet light or hear electromagnetic radio waves, even though they are all around us.
Sometimes when in the 'twilight' zone, I have a feeling that we somehow tap into an area in brain that can perceive some of these wavelengths, but often gets discounted as "you were just dreaming/hallucinating". Your story makes me think like it could've been a pet spirit that came to say hi and you just felt it because you were in a receptive state. Could've been something else, but I don't really believe in the "you just imagined it" thing, more like you were more receptive and felt what was there, where in other times you can't.

Saying that, 15 or so years ago when I first started experimenting with lucid dreaming, I had one specific dream/awake moment where I managed to maintain the consciousness throughout the whole process.
I'm a belly sleeper, so I was laying face down on the bed, clutching the corner of a blanket. In my lucid dream, I was laying on a dirt road by my childhood home, clutching some wet gravel. I was lucid, so I knew I was dreaming and could examine the dream elements and feelings. I could clearly feel the coldness and wetness of the road and gravel in my hand and saw the bright light and colors of the day time. Then I shifted back to my body and felt the warmth of the bed, the softness of the blanket in my hand and the darkness of the room. I repeated that 3-4 times, switching between the same dream scene and reality.

Each time when I started to come out of the dream and into my physical body, I always entered my body from above and each time I went back to the dream, I floated up out of my body. Now, each time the astral body sort of adjusted to my real body and sort of 'clicked' to place, I felt a static feeling all over, but it was more like a strong tingling/buzzing feeling than what you described.
To me it sounds like at the moment of the abrupt static jolt, your astral body may have detached or fell back rapidly and it gave your body a shock feeling. That's just my 2 cents based on no research, other than my own humble experience :relieved:

Hi I never had the feeling that my I got attached from my physical body or hoovered over myself. A pet spirit...could be. I loved all my cats but had a special tie with my ginger cat. He died in an awful way. Kidney cancer, I noticed it too late. He got operated and got internal bleeding.. I have been sitting two days with him. On the 2nd day when I left for 10 minutes he passed away. The way he looked at me, I never forgot his eyes when the life slowly slipped out of his body. I did not know that he had an internal bleeding and was optimistic that he would pull through. I now know better and am still angry with myself. But...I still saw him sometimes for a week after he passed away and felt a couple of times that he stroke along my legs. After a week it stopped. But what I felt seemed more of a human form that eve. You know the feeling when you are lying in bed and you take up too much space and the other pushes his way in.

Oh yes, I understood that you didn't, I just wanted to say that in my experience the astral body shift that occurs in the moment you are about to fall asleep, can give you a static feeling if something interrupts it suddenly, normally you are just not aware of the shift.

I'm so sorry about your kitty, I know how heartbreaking it is. You need to forgive yourself, there's no way you could've known, any cat would be lucky to have had a loving human like you in their lives :<3

Thank you, so nice. He experienced a stressful period though, an almost year long house renovation...thanks to the bad administration in the town hall. Anyway yes for a big part of it, I gave him a good life and should not forget this. I also say this to friends who lose pets. Remember you gave them a good life.

As for the other, I see :), thank you

Related to this, I've written several essays on the lucid dreaming. I still have a couple, one of which includes a bibliography for further reading. If you're interested, I can send it or just the bibliography to you.
Thank you for the article, but pfff so much work, I might fall asleep :). But very interesting

Yesterday eve...a flower bud of the bunch of Stargate lillies on my mantel piece flew off and ended 1 meter further on the floor.. It bounced and landed 50 cm further again on the floor. Bizarre. I tried to re-enacted it but could not, only by hitting it with a bit of force. Bizarre.
