As I've shared in other posts here on the PNF, I've had premonitions for most of my life - they were especially prevalent when I was in my 20s, 30s, and 40s.
I recently found a few notes in a journal which had been damaged. In fact, the two premonitions I'm about to share were two of the only three paranormal journal entries that I was able to recover.
I'm sharing these two occurrences to demonstrate that though they were literally and figurative "earth shaking" (pun), my conscious mind still processed the related precognitive inputs in a matter-of-fact and mundane fashion.
I was living in Southern California during the 1990s.
First one was on the night of 6/27/92. As I was getting ready for bed, I had the random thought that, "Well after tomorrow, it will be many months before I'll be able to buy an earthquake insurance policy on my condo." I was awaken by the 7.3 magnitude Landers' earthquake at 5AM the next morning - on the 28th.
The second one is slightly more elaborate. On the night of 1/16/94, while I was sitting on the foot of my mattress getting ready for bed, I had taken off one of my socks and dropped it on the floor (male living alone, so don't judge the laundry habits). I then hooked my fingers under the stretchy part of the second sock and pulled it half way down my foot but stopped when the thought hit me that, "I should not remove my socks; I might need them if there is broken glass or broken mirrors." So I pulled that second sock back up my foot, I put back on the first sock, and then I went to bed. The next morning I was awaken at 4:30AM by the magnitude 6.7 Northridge earthquake. I jumped out of bed to stand inside the door frame - that's the safety technique I was taught as a child. This was the doorway between my bedroom and the bathroom; and, at that moment I was facing into the bathroom. As the quake was still shaking, I was looking forward into the large mirror over the sink and I could see it slightly waving and flexing as the wall behind it vibrated. Though the mirror didn't break, it prompted me to recall the thought I had hours earlier which explained why I was standing in the doorway wearing a pair of socks.
