I used to work for the USO on a Marine base on the Japanese island of Okinawa. There was a Marine recreational and training swimming pool just a few hundred feet from my office.

My lunchtime routine was to swim a mile then go back to the USO and get a peach shake. There was nothing better than a peach shake when it was hot and I’d just worked off the right number of calories which of course needed to be replaced. ;)

That sounds really good. Never had a peach one.

Summertime is still here - get one while you can Lynn. I remember that Baskin-Robbins used to have a great peach ice cream during the summer too. I think that's called "cellular memory" - like where my adipose tissues recall what it's like to be filled with peachy goodness.

:p
For the out-of-towners that need some context, the Blue Top is a drive-in restaurant outside of Chicago. It's really not a retro business. It's from the 50s and it never changed ! They host a big classic car festival. But I'm not a car guy. I'm a hamburger guy.:)
Debi hails from Da Region. (And for you out-of-towners, that's the Indiana side of Chicago.)
