I saw somethng about this recently....may have even posted on it here. Not sure that's the "why", but interesting.
although I do kinda wonder how you can see 1000's of "ships" and still have to stop and go to work.....
I've heard quite a bit about this being a hack and a possible weapon. It was also talked about on Ground Zero last night as a weather weapon that uses the sun somehow. (Sorry, the science went over my then drowsy head.) However, you look at what happened with that crazy hurricane that everybody says is acting weird, odd, unusual, unprecendented, and you have to ask if someone flipped a switch somewhere on a weather weapon.Whistleblower: 'NM solar observatory hacked, Chinese may have gained control of sun weapon'
Being hacked could account for shutting down the facility, but don't understand it being evacuated due to hacking.
Interesting thought. There are so many possibles and so little freakin' info! You know if they ever do give a "reason", it won't be the real"reason".A thought occurred to me while watching this character's video. As I alluded to a couple of days ago, there is a phenomenal view from Sunspot looking down from the mountain. As shown on the video, that view includes Holloman AFB and White Sands Missile Range. There are a number of abandoned airfields/airstrips and test ranges out in the desert on both those military reservations. One of those airfields (Northrop Strip) I know has been used for restricted, maybe classified, projects and testing in the past. Back in the early 80s, the Space Shuttle had to land there, so the runway (actually a salt flat) is very long.
I wonder if the NSO was closed and evacuated to preclude anyone from seeing something going on at one of the test sites associated with WSMR or HAFB? Maybe the anti-gravity system on one of those miles across triangles went tango uniform and they had to land at Northrop Strip? No place to hanger a rascal that big, so perhaps they had to make sure nobody could see it from the NSO and closed the observatory down until it the craft was repaired and flown out?
