I had a nightmare last night, and I carried into the day. I was driving in my car, just doing errands, and I stopped in front of this two story house. I felt like I was supposed to be there, like I was late to a meeting feeling. I knocked on the door and a little girl, about 8 or so answered. I couldn't see her face really well because she stepped back as she opened the door. When I stepped in, it looked like a lobby, it was lit very dimly, but when the door closed I saw the girl. She looked as if she had been beaten within an inch of her life. She had blood matted in her light brown hair, her one eye was purple and green, swollen shut. I don't know if she moved her lips but I heard a little voice say 'you know I'm dead.' I tried to wake myself up after that, I've done meditation classes, asmr stuff...lots of things over the years, but nothing worked. She just limped over to me and took my hand. It was cold, sticky, and a bit crusty, I felt her say that she needed to show me something and then I could go. I walked with her toward a staircase, and she pushed on the wall...it was like a push cupboard door that could be used as storage or an entrance to a basement. It was just storage. She pulled me inside and lifted the wooden top off the box......I can't tell you how bad the smell was. But it was her, a tiny folded over carcass of a child. I heard the name Anna Lynn, at least I think, and she said that the house was in a park now. The only place I can think of it the "THIS IS THE PLACE HERRITAGE PARK" I live in Utah, and I have been there, my brother was married there, but I didn't have a good feeling about that place....it just felt wrong. I'm scared to look into the history, but I know the ghost stories from the area. I just wanted advice as to what I should do, or even better, a guaranteed method to wake myself up from a nightmare.

All you can do to stop a nightmare is train yourself to shake out of it. I learned that trick quicker than lucid dreaming. Night terrors are a little different though. Basically that’s when in your brain, your panic mode inadvertently keeps you stuck in a sleep state if I remember correctly. Only way out of that is your body lets you wake up eventually or my theory is you calm yourself down to the point you can wake up normally.

Hi I wrote a small thread for another forum about my experiences in my old apartment. It can be difficult when spirits want you to solve their murder. I had spirits repeating "1978, body near by". Even talked about "Cheryl was cooked and eaten."

I got a lot of names and years with the "body near by" "body near" "body in the field"

I wrote the article titled "spirit detective" because you are a detective. It's your decision to follow up on this...... Or not. It's not easy and you should know that starting off.

I would look for missing children of that name. Maybe check the courthouse or library for obituaries, history of the building.

My other warning would be to remember you can't help everyone unfortunately. For example the murderous spirit Michael told me he missed tommy and Kevin and I told him I would try and find them to tell them that he still thinks of them. I just have up because it wasn't possible for me. I don't have the energy to help him with that. So he must move on or find someone else.

I would be picky about who you help and listen to your instincts if you are being deceived. Remember demons frequently take on the form of children. Don't be deceived. Of course the children may be drawn to you for one reason or another. Playful. Maybe look like their family or they trust you idk. Maybe ask them why me

I don’t know about America but at least in Canada if it involves a minor, the only thing you’re gonna find is past amber alerts. America might have similar laws regarding children.

There are databases I found of federal sites that had missing children but I didn't have enough info.

They were state by state so it would complicate things if the murderer took her out of state after the kidnapping, if it was a kidnapping.

You two have this well in hand. I might add that if she has the dream again , she could just tell the child to go to the light. Explain that her body will be found in time. It is also a possibility it is just a Dream.
