Take me out to the Ballgame....

My on again, off again NATS had an on day. They won 25 to 4. This after scoring zero and two runs in the previous two games. Not sure what to make of this team.

The Perfect Game ! Saw it on TV.
Fun fact- during the 2005 World Series, Mark Buehrle was pressed into service to pitch relief. He wasn't expected to start for two more games. He admitted to being well into a 12 pack that day.
Ozzie just flat ran out of pitchers. So he had to do it.

Remember Doc Ellis pitching a no-hitter while on LSD?

I remember Doc Ellis.

The "LSD no-hitter" story came out some years after he retired, I think maybe in his autobiography.

He was probably the most hated player in the league by Reds' fans back in the days of the Big Red Machine. He got into a fight with a security guard at Riverfront Stadium, then a year or so later purposely hit the first three Reds' players he faced before being pulled from the game for throwing at Johnny Bench.
