After almost 10 years without any similar events, I thought I was done with this phenomenon. That was until yesterday.

So I was working from home on my company laptop; it was shortly after noon, when my laptop took a dump displaying the infamous blue screen of death. I attempted a reboot but no luck.

I attempted no fewer than 30 additional reboots during the next two hours. I tried every sequenced combination of Windows safe mode, Windows diagnostics, and boot in normal mode. I tried letting the poor thing sit powered down for 5 minutes - no luck - and then again for 20 minutes - still no luck. Seems per the diagnostics that I had a corrupted boot sector.

After placing an initial call into our corporate help desk to open a ticket for assistance, I used my phone to instant message my boss that I was probably going to be offline for an unpredictability long time.

After wasting those two hours trying to reboot, I decided to reach out to the help desk again in order to pressure them on the urgency of my situation. I was on hold for some long number of minutes. At some point the automated attendant functions asked me for the serial number on the bottom of my laptop so I picked it up, turned it over, and read aloud the serial number. But I was still on hold.

Then it hit me, “Would there be any downside to me trying to fix this symptom with magick...”. I decided to risk it. So I tilted the top of my laptop up to lay against my chest and then I crossed my arms across the bottom of the laptop. I closed my eyes and did a short little meditation on my desires, needs, and intents.

When I finished the initial meditation I placed the laptop back into it’s routine place on my desk and pressed the power button. I let both of my hands light on the keyboard and the surface area immediately around the keys. I saw the same visual from the first 30 reboot attempts reoccur yet again with the initial Windows logo appearing and the four colors of the logo coming together to create the famous four-pane window image. This is the point where the laptop repeatedly locked up so I immediately closed my eyes and meditated on moving energy through my hands to prompt the boot to continue past the point of failure.

About ten seconds later, I opened my eyes and saw that the image of the Windows logo against a black field was being replaced with my desktop display...and, I heard the trill of the familiar Windows theme! My laptop was in the final throws of fully booting up for the first time in over two hours and more than 30 attempts.

Later in the day, when a corporate IT Expert called me back, he was clearly extremely surprised to hear that I was able, on my own, to actually boot up my laptop.

I have yet to try to power it down. Keeping my fingers - and my arms - crossed.

Wow. I shall try that on my next windows issue. Glad that it worked out for you WandS.

Time for any backups that you haven't done before you try to reboot.

Completed back up, then ran a diagnostic today. Seems inconclusive to me but I sent the log created by the diagnostic off to our IT Experts to review.

I was successful this evening with a warm reboot and then a cold boot too.

So that’s three good points thus far.

Hey.....I use that same technique when my computer crashes repeadedly....... I close my eyes, mumble some choice words and then lay my hands on it until it comes back on.......sometimes that can take a few whacks and quite often attracts unapproving looks from those close enough to hear the loud slaps and aforementioned choice words........but then the screen lights up and piece reigns once again....
Cool experiences you've had.

Wands that is awesome that you can do these things, maybe you are meant to be a healer. I wish I could just figure out how to work these things in general

Aren’t there laws against that kind of behavior Paul, like “Dell-mestic” abuse! :p Okay, well there might not be any similar laws yet. But wait until the day when every PC and laptop comes standard with artificial intelligence (AI) and then there will be. You just wait and see the karma served up by your toaster when it gets word that you beat up your computer again.

It is rare - very rare Tia. It is so rare that you can see that I keep count. Regardless of how coincidental some events might seem, I only count those events where the results are (a) identical to my intents or (b) very, very closely aligned with my desires; and with one exception, (c) I only count those events which manifest immediately.

[Oh, my numbering is off because I did a :diamondsuit: “card trick” :clubs: back in 2003 that I’ve forgotten about until just now. So this week’s “computer trick” is probably event #7.]

I have thought several times recently about whether or not I might be able to help as a healer. I’ve wondered if my past empathic experiences might be helpful, when combined with energy manipulation, to enable healing.

I only recognize two instances in my past where I have used energy - once accidentally and the second time purposely. I should probably gather my thoughts on those events and post about same.

I just edited this thread’s title to improve the accuracy of my event counts! I’ve changed the count from “sixth” to “seventh”.

The OCD in me is happy. :) Ha ! I saw seventh time in the thread title and was a bit confused until I read further.

You like to think that with modern electronics, it either works or it doesn't. Mechanical things, yeah a whack or two can get things moving at times. I wonder just what is happening when our thoughts can get electronics running again.

I am liking these threads, WandS.
