I basically only carry a phone for emergency calls, so I don't keep up on this technology. I also don't carry portable music, so I am really out of touch with the younger generations as far as that and phones! I do realize these are important pieces of equipment for most EDC'ers, so here is the place for discussing all of your electronic gadgets.

My Alcatel One Touch Fierce - a cell phone dinosaur!

At least it’s not a flip phone :D

I’m sold out to the smart phone. However it serves as my computer.

My smartphone has become my computer about 80 percent of the time. I do have a desktop. For me, I want to be able to open the back of the phone and replace the Sim and battery and memory. This also serves as an emergency reset, in case the smartphone becomes frozen. So. . . no i whatever phone for me.

only carry a phone for emergencies, and the maps / gps... would not feel lost without it though. actually miss the days before cell phones..

I do miss the days before cell phones. Everywhere you go, people have their heads down looking at the darn screen. They literally are missing the world go by. Used to be you could go to the park, like the dog park, and actually talk to people. Not anymore, people just have their nose in their phone while their dog is off pooping all over the entire park...
