Lucid dreaming techniques

I've managed to realize in some dreams that i'm dreaming. Though it should be more as I can dream of some weird stuff that should tip me off before I wake up.

I haven’t yet been able to discovery control over the frequency of my lucid dreaming. I sleep very, very deep so I suspect that my conscious mind is well tucked away for the night.

But all of the dreams I claim as lucid sound similar to yours. I’m guessing that during those dreams, some part of my intellect is listening in because each time it happens I take special notice of something in my dream that I immediately recognize is not possible (in my waking world). At that point in the dream I will always think, “I must be dreaming because...” and then the rest of the dream will become interactive.

Lucid dreaming was perhaps my first introduction, years and years ago to the ParaNormal. I love the idea of controlling my dreams. I rarely remember dreams, but as I awake and realize I'm dreaming, I can very briefly prolong and sometimes control the dream.

Introspective question for you please. Do you still label lucid dreaming as a paranormal happening? I ask because mainstream (whom ever they are) public pretty fully accepts routine dreaming as “normal”. I don’t particularly know where the public pigeonholes lucid dreaming though. Myself, I’ve never given a thought to how I would label lucid dreaming. Interested in how or why you have labeled it as paranormal.

I do know with certainty though that one of the only two sleeping prophetic dreams I ever remember having (statistically all of my premonitions occur when I am awake) was in fact also lucid. And, try as I might to “consciously” control the events of that dream, I could not do it fully. In all honesty, it felt as if I was fighting against the events of the future to force seeing a different future than what was unfolding in the dream. Or, possibly that I was struggling against another person’s lucid mind to take control of a dream that was theirs instead of mine...or possibly take control of their own waking thoughts.

I do, because as some have described and perhaps I may be able to do some day, I can astral travel or remote view or effect healing or other things that most consider paranormal. I believe that our minds are powerful. I want to believe that I have just barely tapped into the power of MY mind.

I too will wish for you to achieve some of your other goals. I suspect then that successful control over triggering lucid dreaming could be a step towards some of those other paranormal skills.

Trying to keep a dream journal but am struggling with waking up enough to write. I forget too quickly. I may use a recording divice. Anyone else try this ?

Finally started an online dream journaling app Lynne. Pasting here copy of last nights post for your amusement.

“Dreamt my girlfriend and I were invited to visit with Gates McFadden at her condo. It was rather small nondescript place in some minor disarray because she was painting some walls.

While there, she shared some makeup tips with my girlfriend and also offered to loan her some of her handbags.

We three were supposed to meet up with Marina Sirtis too for lunch but she was tied up in some kind of delayed space shuttle launch. Marina was disappointed because the launch never happened yet it caused her to miss lunch with us.

As an aside. I woke up to real world news report this morning that last night’s supposed secret Zuma rocket launch was a partial failure. Apparently the rocket launched but whatever its payload was, it failed to deploy.”
