From One Haunt To Another

Yes, indeed I do! I have scoured the web, absorbing information on all things paranormal. It's funny, when I was younger, I was always worried about what would happen if I was caught reading about the paranormal, so I would wait until mum was fast asleep before I broke out the tablet and read. :) In terms of the paranormal, my favorite topic is ghosts.
Not that unusual for youngsters to worry about that. I was blessed that my father taught me much about the paranormal and accepted it as "normal". Of course, others thought I was a bit strange, but hey! No worries if the family accepts it! lol

Lol, consider yourself lucky then! :D I was always worried what people would think of me if they knew what sorts of things I was reading about, but now that I'm older, I don't care what others think of me. :)

Always just be who you are, Austin. Some will like ya, some won't. Glad you learned the lesson young.

One thing you'll find with the paranormal...it's constantly shifting and changing on theories, but the experiences tend to stay the same. Be open to new ideas, but use your own experiences and knowledge base to discern. A lot of people come up with crazy theories just to write a book!

Thank you! :)

Ya, I have seen some pretty crazy theories out there in the world of paranormal literature...

You'd be amazed how much of what is showing up now isn't really new. Those of us who are...ahem...older, remember a lot of the "new" theories from back in the late 60's to early 70's. I guess it's true. Wait long enough and it will come back into vogue.

As we get older and more experienced, we become wiser.

Really? Interesting! Is there any theories you like?

I am not yet wise. :(

You are what? 22? Give yourself time, kid! And don't be in a hurry! :)

I have a few, but let me get back to you on those. Bird is almost ready to fly to her nest for the night!

Austin, I'm sorry I'm so slow these days on answering. Usually I'm right on things, but I am juggling duties here at home.

OK! So, first new/old theory out there that I don't like is the revival of the "walk ins." This theory came forth and into vogue with Ruth Montgomery back in the 70's. In case you haven't heard of Ruth, she was an extremely well known psychic of the time, along with Jeane Dixon. Jeane was the psychic who tried to warn Kennedy of the assasination. Anyway, Ruth had the theory of walk ins a popular theory back then, and it sort of went out of style for quite sometime until recently. Out of the blue I heard it again from a new psychic pushing the idea recently.

Next, we have the latest "it's all connected" theory that everyone is writing books on this last year or two. If you follow that idea back, you will see that is evolved almost directly from the work of John Keel. More here at this link on him.

A study of John Keel

This one gets complex because John's research and studies covered a LOT of territory and you'll see his ideas pop up in a lot of new theories of late.

My suggestion is you read up on some of the older people of the field as you also read the newer stuff. You will find a treasure trove of info that is directly related to much of what we are learning more about today.

Things like this are so normal around me. I'm at the point that if my sons toy starts making noises the moment I'm in the room I don't even get the salt out. I'm just like "go to hell" then I leave the room.
