The only one which does not strike me as unusual is the collection of obituary cards. Those are printed specifically so that people who attend viewings and funerals have a memento of the deceased. Depending upon the family an additional one may be taken to tuck into the family Bible. I have one or two dozen from funerals attended through my life because I attended, paid my last respects, and wanted a reminder of that person regardless of how well I may have knew them.

It was the trading of the cards that got me. It was like trading baseball cards. So I don't think sentiment had anything to do with it
