Their are just as many close up, dramatic sightings today as back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, unlike what the Ufoologist say on podcasts.

The difference is lifers, people whom have been dealing with the surreal fear of abductions and or multiple up close encounters their whole lives, have never reported it, as they learned very early that people did not believe them, or we were simply smart enough to know not to say anything to avoid ridicule.... We were already suffering from PTSD so trust was not something we ever learned, as no one ever protected us.

Now since the advent of the internet and mass media (not just one black and white channel of tv anymore) it was obvious to anyone with an IQ beyond braindead, that it was made a laughing stock and interviews were usually reserved for a toothless redneck outside his mobile home.... Hell, I once asked Budd Hopkins why he did interviews, tv shows that always ended up changed to make him seem like a fool and any really good, solid believable witness were cut out... He told me because he hopes one day that maybe one will tell the truth..

I did a 2 hour podcast with him before he died, because he told me he believed it would help the majority of us abductees whom suffer alone and in silence... We don't seek ridicule or gamble with our reputations nor careers... But after 2 months of anguish, I agreed to do it, but was so scared even though I trusted him to keep my identity secret. It was extremely hard emotionally to try to tell a life's story that forced me to remember all those encounters... I had only told one person before that, and that was my first wife after a extreme up close (100 feet away) screaming, encounter at 8 or 9 am with four of us that resulted in 7 or 8 hours of lost time... I tried to calm her by telling her it was ok, it has been happening to me since I was five years old..........She left me soon after, she was too scared.... The other witnesses are still are astounded at their bookend vivid memories thirty five years later... My brothers wife is still terrified if you bring it up, but she will never deny what happened...

So, like people at O'Hare airport, or the doctor or nurse whom see a huge craft hovering over a house one night....they may tell a loved one because they learned to trust some people, but after reading the insane theories and sad stories of people with obvious mental illness on line.... they never will report this to anyone.... I don't blame them... (oh,by the way, that ship hovering over that house, is probably abducting someone, unless you want to believe they are studying our architecture of beautiful gardening?)

What is it ----7 years since I did that podcast??? I don't remember, do not care, still can't listen to it, but I feel good finally, that I paid Budd back for being there for me. It was scary and shocking to be able to talk to someone after a new bad experience ... I never needed hypnosis, still don't after the continued shit that still happens.... but just get tired of these people spending so much time talking like they are experts in a field they have never experienced and will never understand no matter how many nuts they speak to, or books they read.... A war vet knows what fear is, a history buff who watches hundred of movies and read hundreds of books, will never, ever understand what it is like, no matter how many people call him an expert, nor how many books they write... and let's face it, there are many many people also pretending to be war vets.... why... I don't know, but many have found that since no one will listen anymore to their crying over their bad childhood or problems of their own creation.... suddenly people will listen and even feel sorry for them again, if they shift the blame for their mental illness on being because they were abducted .... just like they would get if they claimed they were a war veteran. Way better/sexier than having an alcoholic dad or mentally ill mother who screwed up your life.

If a person is making their living on the paranormal circuit, podcasts to sell books or conferences... THEY are a fraud... It is way easier then selling used cars, or becoming a minister selling GOD, but contains just as many lost souls seeking something/someone to believe in.....JUST think about it, frightened people keep their mouths shut, war vets do, survivors of the concentration camps did... We do..., because the only way to function is to ignore it, deny it, keep really busy and move on as best you can because if not, you will have to deal with flashbacks, more nightmares, the surreal reality that is your life and you don't want to face that... OR you self medicate through destructive behavior such as drinking, drugs, or anger... still hoping somewhere deep inside, just like when you were 5 years old.... praying that someone will save you.... Budd told me many, many fall apart at some point that is why he asked me to speak up.. he was impressed how well I have handled so many experiences I can barely count them all...

We've been trained since early childhood to keep quiet and have had continued experiences even into our old age..... Greys, hybrids whom come talk right in the streets of my big city, military chasing me across town to get a up close photo,(Budd said they commonly update their photos for their files) to paranormal experiences ranging to a black eyed teen to a doppelganger who walked into my house five weeks ago.... all designed to keep us scared,,,, so we suffer alone - in silence...

No more, I am beyond most of that fear and am just f*cking mad I have had to live like this... but in reality, I should be thankful as it has only taken 60 years to get to this point.

Welcome to the forum, Grant, and THANK YOU for sharing your story here. I am currently talking with another abductee that was involved with Bud Hopkins (I'm the producer for another podcast) and I believe her....every word, Grant. I find it takes great courage to speak out about these experiences. I myself saw a huge triangle craft over my house in 1999 and I have shared that experience here several times.

The podcaster I work with will be treating this abductee with the greatest of respect, as he has also had an encounter. Things change with time and persistance. Hopefully, someday, people will be able to accept your experiences as real and treat you with the respect you deserve. You will find that here on this forum as well, as I demand respect here for anyone with enough courage to speak out.

Wow, good story grant. Thanks for sharing. You were/are a true friend to Budd Hopkins.

thanks, it helps sometimes to vent... I am going to post something I wrote many years ago that I sent to Whitley Streiber (didn't know who he was really, never read his books nor anyone else's for that matter... it is called Disclosure , not a chance in Hell. He posted it to his website..)
