Locals believe this is the ghostly figure of a lady returning to avenge the sale of their beloved building.
Campaigners had secured a six-month lease on Stafford's Old Library to showcase the site's potential as a public building in a bid to stop it being sold to private investors.
However during a late night gig at the grade-II listed building in January,Chris Healey noticed the shape of the apparition hovering behind musician Jonathan Watkiss.
Campaigners claiming the figure could be the one half of a pair of elderly sisters, who according to local legend refused to make way for the building in 1912 until a covenant was signed so it could stay in public hands.
