Surprising psychology of UFO reporting

I am always suspect of groups doing studies to put a blanket "type" on any group of people. Nobody wants to be psychoanalyzed or be put in a category. I think for the most part the average person is just reporting what they see and that's that. There are people out there with issues but that is not the majority. Why researchers want to analyze people just making eyewitness accounts is beyond me. We convict people and send them to prison on eyewitness testimony. I don't think we need to psychoanalyze why they are making the report, but instead investigate it and see if it has merit instead.
