I've done a few amateur videos involving weapons and i make sure people are around to ensure bystanders that its a controlled environment. solves a lot of problems before they pop up.

And this happened right here in good old Indiana! Good thing our police are a bit slower to shoot than most these days. This could have gone sooooo bad.

Good thing the responding officers apparently hadn't been spending enough time at the shooting range! Sounds like it was the movie crew that messed up by not alerting the police to the filming that day. The cops reacted as would be reasonably expected given the information they had.

The director that was interviewed was smiling and acting like it was a joke. I was not impressed with his attitude about it. He was the reason this happened.

A similar incident occurred a few years ago on the set of SVU. A criminal was evading the cops and ran to the area where they were taping. When he saw the actors, he thought they were real cops and surrendered.
