It just sickens me that there are people like this, who think they can legislate their fear and hatred of guns, and impose their agenda on those who wish to observe what our forefathers had the wisdom to include in the Constitution!

Michael Moore is calling for a new constitutional amendment on gun control as lawmakers struggle with how to respond to Sunday night’s mass shooting in Las Vegas, which left 59 dead and more than 520 injured.

In a post on his Facebook page, the documentary filmmaker and liberal activist proposed repealing the Second Amendment, which he called “ancient and outdated.”

A “28th Amendment,” Moore wrote, would demand that “the primary right of all people to be free from gun violence … shall not be infringed.”

Moore recommended that men must get spousal approval for firearm purchases, a requirement he says has "greatly reduced" domestic violence in Canada.

"As over 90% of gun violence is committed by men, in order for a man to purchase a gun, he must first get a waiver from his current wife, plus his most recent ex-wife, or any woman with whom he is currently in a relationship (if he’s gay, he must get the waiver from his male spouse/partner)," Moore wrote.

In Canada we need our ex spouses approval to get a firearms license. As a matter of fact anyone can call the chief firearms officer and anonymously state that [insert name here] should not have access to firearms. But crimes still happen.

I’d love for all of North America to start addressing violent crimes, as the use of a weapon is statistically irrelevant [youre more likely to get murdered with a hammer or screwdriver than to be murdered by a firearm.

I like the way most of Canada’s gun laws are, since a firearms license means you consent to not a one time background check, but a continuous check for as long as you have the license. I gotta admit we should be allowed to conceal carry handguns if we fall under a vulnerable demographic (single parents, stalking victims, business owners, etc.)

This guy is a nut. None of his ideas would have changed a thing in this situation. If this guy really was the lone shooter here. His family claim they had NO IDEA he had this in mind. They thought he was normal. Also a rich man, he could have got guns anywhere.
