King of the Texas Rangers (Republic, 1941), a 12 chapter serial, and one of the best Westerns ever made, is now available on Youtube. It was directed by William Witney and John English and starred "Slingin' " Sammy Baugh, Duncan Renaldo and Pauline Moore. It's basically a cowboys vs. evil Nazis story. Special effects by Babe and Theodore Lydecker. I make sure I see this one every year, once or twice. Highly recommended, even for those of you who are tired of Westerns, or don't like them. Mr. Bird should see it, if he hasn't.
