Unfortunately, yes. There is evidence that it never actually ended.
Groups of peaceful demonstrators have been infiltrated by both agents provocateur and members who outright went nuts during protests, and then conveniently vanished when the police moved in to start busting heads. In Ontario and in California, masked protestors were filmed by citizen journalists coming out of side streets, wreaking havoc, and then being let through the lines of riot police to dive into the back of a police van. That there were suddenly a half-dozen more riot police on the lines is, of course, merely a coincidence...
