ISIS Watch Thread

State Department issues worldwide travel alert | Fox News

The very interesting statement I see in this is:

Authorities believe the likelihood of terror attacks will continue as members of ISIS return from Iraq and Syria, as well as the threat from “unaffiliated persons” planning attacks inspired by major terrorist organizations.

Return? To the US? We're letting them in the doors?

In England, they kept track of 2000 people, British citizens all, with suspect ties to Middle East; only 200 have returned and they are monitoring thos perons of interest.

Same here, they are US Citizens , not sure if they keep numbers like UK.

I live near a certain military base. There has been another huge increase in activity over there again this last week or so. Camp Atterbury is used many times to stage and then send. All of us around here get a little worried when we see this kind of activity increase.

Iraqis think the U.S. is in cahoots with the Islamic State, and it is hurting the war

BAIJI, Iraq — On the front lines of the battle against the Islamic State, suspicion of the United States runs deep. Iraqi fighters say they have all seen the videos purportedly showing U.S. helicopters airdropping weapons to the militants, and many claim they have friends and relatives who have witnessed similar instances of collusion.

Ordinary people also have seen the videos, heard the stories and reached the same conclusion — one that might seem absurd to Americans but is widely believed among Iraqis — that the United States is supporting the Islamic State for a variety of pernicious reasons that have to do with asserting U.S. control over Iraq, the wider Middle East and, perhaps, its oil.

“It is not in doubt,” said Mustafa Saadi, who says his friend saw U.S. helicopters delivering bottled water to Islamic State positions. He is a commander in one of the Shiite militias that last month helped push the militants out of the oil refinery near Baiji in northern Iraq alongside the Iraqi army.

The Islamic State is “almost finished,” he said. “They are weak. If only America would stop supporting them, we could defeat them in days.”

Interesting......who do we believe? Cuz, ya know how much we can trust any government out there. Who's telling the truth?

Does not surprise me at all. Everytime there is increased activity at the base I live by, off we go!
Defense contractors' stock prices have been all over the place, strongly suggesting that they have been filling orders for consumables and equipment, and employees (observing the shipments going out) have been either exercising their stock options or buying stock.

After Paris, police are being retrained to kill terrorists
POSTED ON DECEMBER 2, 2015 IN WORLD | 17 VIEWS | LEAVE A RESPONSE

The Paris attacks were horrific. And the police are changing their tactics to deal with violent incidents and the indiscriminate killing of civilians.
In Britain, officers are now being trained to “go forward” to confront terrorists. Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner Patricia Gallan said in a Paris-style attack, officers’ priority is to stop the terrorists killing more people, even if that means walking over the injured to eliminate the threat, the BBC reports. She said:

We appreciate within that there could be casualties and when meeting that threat they will have to walk over casualties that might have been injured and wait for somebody else to treat them as they go forward.

The most important thing is to actually get to the threat and stop them killing additional people, and that is why we’ve got to keep going forward and not tend to those that are injured at the time.

Terrorists have taken a different tactic—they now shoot hostages instead of taking part in a negotiation. So, she said: “The decision has to be made, and it is a brave decision, about whether you stand back, in which case you may well have more people die, or whether the best thing is to go forward,” she explained, adding, “We believe that is potentially what will save the most lives.”
