Hollow Earth and the dero

I love Shaver Mysteries, which Ray Palmer first published in his "Amazing Stories" Sci-Fi Magazine in 1943. They were submitted by Richard Shaver, and re-written by Palmer and told the story of the Deros, who lived in cities in caverns under the earth.. Shaver was known to have spent time in a mental institution in the late 1930s. Publication stopped in 1948, when Palmer claimed that he was forced to quit publication by "outside forces." The Shaver Mysteries received continued life through discussion by radio personality Long John Nebel in the 1950s. Ray Palmer is probably best known as the first publisher of "FATE" magazine, which got it's start in 1947.

It's believed that his stories were true but imbellished by Palmer to make a book. There are other expierenceers that colaberate his accounts
