Surrogate mother or artificial womb ? Surrogate mother then the possibility of a soul entering is absolute . How many women would participate in such a program , where would they come from and what payment would they receive ?
Defects at pregnancy or birth , how humane would they be ?

Surrogate mothers? Easy...just ask any woman who wants a baby and is assured it's perfectly safe. She'd pay for it. She'd raise it. And she'd love it.

Also , we have many films depicting cloning , "The boys from Brazil " ' The Island " " Judge Dread " " Bladerunner" et al . If we have a predetermined date of expiry and you cloned yourself to harvest bodily parts for a longer life , would you still die at the predetermined date or if you succeed in expanding your life span would you suffer consequences when you actually do cross over ?

Whoa....GOOD question! Somehow I think the "harvesting" would kinda doom you right there....or would it if "it" had no soul? Dang...thought I had the answer right off the bat until the next question surfaced.
 
OK...thought it through. We're here to do a mission for X amount of time. If we go over that mission time by extending life, how many other lives do we throw off course by our impact on them? There's some Karma for ya. BUT, does that also imply that those that have a heart transplant, or life extending surgery also change the plan? Shoot...back to the drawing board....

Today we can harvest from a human being who has died and GIVEN PERMISSION enabling others the gift of whatever , this is acceptable . Cloning yourself is another story altogether .
