Honestly I'm not sure how far Pablo Escobars hippos have spread to? I think there is atleast 150-200 atleast alive and well in Colombia. So they could be in the amazon river.

Before Pablo Escobar was killed he actually had a private zoo. Hippos were his favorite. I'm not sure how they got out,but they did. They reproduced quickly and thrived. The government wants to kill them now ,but locals like them. It's estimated there are 100-200+ hippos.
As for the anaconda. Will Smith and discovery? Were allowed to film in a remote area usually off limits and the locals told them of the local snakes and they found antleast 1. It's DNA actually differs from the green anaconda by 2% or more?
