Navy Pilot report

OK, we can differ...:)

I have found that people without the piece of paper often have way more life sense and common sense than those who wave their degree as a shield.

I would agree and have seen it in action.

Well the military video showing the speed of that UFO is real.

That's a broad brushstroke there...

Yeah most likely it is...But the thing is in most professions layman are looked upon as a hindrance by those with fancy degrees the only profession I see that really wants layman input is Astronomy...(Amateur Astronomers)...For example go to a religion forum and began debating them, it won't be long before they are going to throw a degree in your face especially when you back them in a corner. They use the degree to discredit what you write...As most people with degrees do to some one who is not a specialists in their particular field. There is nothing wrong with getting an education but do not use it as a weapon because you think you know it all....

That's too bad. I have formal education, and if anything, I usually downplay it. I've never said to someone, you're wrong, I have a degree and therefore I know it all and you suck. I would caution against lumping everyone in the internet camp who may have delusions of grandeur since they are online, with those in the real world you may meet who are a little more down to Earth.

I don't see it as much since I stay away from religion forums.
I can see that happening on a religion forum. Also, I have found that people who know, or think they know philosophy, can be rather pompous when they debate. They love to argue, and they often lack the social skills to carry on a civil debate and can get personal.
